Approved Providers List for the provision of Therapeutic Support Services

The requirement is to develop a list of Service Providers who can deliver an increased range of therapeutic support services to families and individuals. This requirement has arisen from the regions intention, supported by but not dependent on the Government’s Adoption Support Fund Initiative to improve support to adoptive families and others. The value detailed under section II.1.5 is an estimated value as the service is demand lead. There is no guarantee of work to any supplier appointed to the Approved Providers List for Therapeutic Services.

In support of the National Adoption Strategy the Regional Adoption Agencies (RAAs) Leaders Group are seeking to develop a new Birth relative and Professional area on the existing FamilyConnect website, create a new national FamilyConnect advice line for adopted adults, birth parents and relatives and professionals, with a coordinator alongside the website and provide intermediary services for some people adopted before 1976. Leeds City Council is awarding this contract on behalf of the Adoption England team, a collaboration of 32 RAAs across England working together with a small national strategic team to help support them delivering high quality support for children and families.
