CT1168 - Accredited Pathways and Certified Counsellors and Therapists

AWARD of the Flexible Purchasing Framework The City of Edinburgh Council has created a Flexible Purchasing Framework of providers in line with the National Improvement Framework for Education. The vision for education in Edinburgh is to ensure excellence by raising attainment and improving outcomes through Accredited Pathways and Certified Counsellors and Therapists: ensuring that every child and young person achieves the highest standards in literacy and numeracy, as well as the knowledge and skills necessary to shape their future as successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens, and effective contributors. The City of Edinburgh Council will realise this vision by achieving equity: ensuring every child and young person has the same opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background, social circumstances, additional needs or shared protected characteristics, with a particular focus on closing the poverty related attainment gap, and improving mental health and wellbeing. In order to achieve this, The City of Edinburgh Council will work to reduce the Poverty Related Attainment Gap (PRAG) through a transdisciplinary approach. Delivery of excellence will be achieved via the Edinburgh Imperative, which has four key themes to support reduction of the PRAG: Attendance, Literacy & Numeracy, Pathways, Health and Wellbeing. Collaboration and relationship building with partner providers is a key theme to support young people’s outcomes being at the heart of everything we do. Partner Providers will support schools to provide a service which ensures pupils receive high quality education which meets their needs, delivers improved educational outcomes and avoids exclusion. The City of Edinburgh Council are encouraging a ‘Place Based’ approach to services and supports to families and young people. The intention is to develop comprehensive supports that are within 20minutes of any identified need.

Children and Young People Participation Framework Agreement

The Scottish Government is commissioning a Framework Agreement to respond to the growing need for children and young people’s participation in decision making and policy design across Scottish Government and to ensure approaches are meaningful, coordinated and sustainable. Specifically, the Framework is being created to establish an efficient and effective mechanism that provides the Scottish Government with a strategic, high quality and sustainable approach to meaningfully engage with children and young people as part of its decision-making and policy design process. The Framework will enable policy areas across Scottish Government to identify, recruit and engage with organisations that have the skills and expertise required to design and deliver bespoke, high quality participation activities with children and young people. It is envisaged that the appointed suppliers will be both organisations operating at a national level and those working within specific communities. These organisations will engage with and represent a broad range of children and young people, with particular representation of those identified as being furthest from their rights. The Framework will be overseen by the Children’s Rights Unit to ensure a more collaborative, streamlined and strategic approach to participation by creating a database of all work commissioned. This will be an evidence bank for policy areas to pull from when carrying out Children’s Rights and Wellbeing Impact Assessments (CRWIA) and help to reduce duplication and ad-hoc engagement whilst also tackling engagement fatigue felt by stakeholders.

LOTL 226-23 Sexual Health & Blood Borne Virus Services

NHS Lothian, a statutory body constituted pursuant to the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 (“the Board”), NHS Lothian wishes to tender for sexual health and wellbeing services provided to Men who Have Sex with Men (MSM) and emotional health and wellbeing services for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) adults and young people as specified within the attached Appendix 1 specifications for Lots 1, 2 and 3. Suppliers are invited to bid for single or multiple lots. Lots are as follows: - Lot 1 - Sexual health and wellbeing of Gay and Bisexual men, and all men who have sex with men (GBMSM) - Lot 2 - Emotional health and wellbeing of LGBT+ adults - Lot 3 - Emotional health and wellbeing of LGBT + young people (13–18-year-olds) Equalities These services are specifically targeted to support people who are lesbian, gay or bi-sexual, and trans men, trans women and non-binary people. Lot 2 is specifically targeted to support men and Lot 3 is specifically targeted to support young people (aged 13-18).
