Middlewich Custody Suite Boiler replacement

This is a contract award notice The works generally comprise of the replacement of the existing boiler installation which serves a number of AHUs and heater batteries throughout the building. The works will include the complete decommissioning and removal of all redundant equipment and disconnection of electrical supplies and BMS connections. All waste to be disposed of via a recognized waste recycling Contractor. The works are required to commence at the earliest possible date following contract award and accounting for lead in times for required materials. Notwithstanding the previous statement, the PCC expects commencement on site week commencing 19th February latest. The winning bidder may be considered for future opportunities in relation to Boilers subject to remaining public sector value for goods/services/supplies.

Energy House 2.0 - Water & Chilled Water for Rain & Snow Simulation

The University of Salford is looking to appoint a principal contractor to undertake proposed mechanical and electrical works within the newly constructed Energy House 2.0 research facility at the University. The research facility consists of two large environmental chambers which are designed to control and simulate external weather conditions so that buildings, construction materials and equipment can be tested under differing climatic conditions. The successful contractor will be appointed to supply, install and commission the provision of new water and chilled water boosted services from third floor to ground floor level so that specialist rain and snow simulation equipment can be connected within each chamber by the end user.
