Expansion of the Cranbrook Medical Centre

The Cranbrook Medical Centre, based at the Younghayes Centre in Cranbrook in East Devon, needs to expand its current premises in order to gain additional space for clinical and administration purposes. Cranbrook Town Council, the building owner and landlord, is able to offer the Medical Centre additional space within a part of the building which will become vacant on 1 April 2021. This space is earmarked for an internal re-configuration and refurbishment, the design and specification of which this tender and its associated documents set out. Cranbrook Town Council is now inviting tenders for the construction works to enable the above in accordance with this tender notice. All relevant information, including the tender document, architectural specification, mechanical and electrical engineering services specification, pre-construction information summary, phasing plan, site plan and hazard summary, floor and ceiling plans, door and window schedule and details, finishes plan, section and details, detailed drawings as listed in the drawing issue register, document issue register (and drawing issue register), specification for GP practice premises, Department of Health's document entitled "Health Building Note 11-01: Facilities for Primary and Community Care Services" as well as a tender form in Word format, are available on the Town Council's website at https://www.cranbrooktowncouncil.gov.uk/tender-notice-the-expansion-of-the-medical-centre/. Delivery of a Wheeled Sports Facility in Cranrbook, Devon

A consortium of developers, the East Devon New Community Partners, is delivering the currently consented first 3,500 homes at Cranbrook in East Devon. The Section 106 agreement relating to this development secures the preparation and servicing of land for a "Skateboard Park" prior to 2,250 dwelling occupations. The responsibility for the delivery of the skatepark transferred to the Town Council earlier in 2021. Cranbrook Town Council is now looking to appoint a preferred supplier for the construction of a wheeled sports facility in a town centre location in Cranbrook as set out in the tender documents. Any prospective supplier is invited to submit their design proposal(s) in accordance with the specification set out in the tender documents to the Town Council.

Cranbrook in East Devon is a town which is being developed on a former green field site from scratch. Construction works started in 2011 and the first residents moved in during the following year. By early 2021, the town had grown to approximately 6,000 residents occupying around 2,300 properties. The current Local Plan which covers the period until 2031 makes provision for the delivery of circa 8,000 homes housing in the region of 25,000 residents - so Cranbrook will be at least a medium-sized town and probably the second-biggest settlement in East Devon. As part of the development, multi-use sports pitches were delivered in 2019 which are well- used, predominantly by youth teams. Cranbrook Town Council manages the sports pitches and is now commissioning the construction of a community sports pavilion at the site. The tender documents set out the parameters and the Town Council is now inviting tenders for the design and construction works to enable the above.

Cranbrook Town Council is now looking to appoint a preferred supplier for the design and build of a wheeled sports pump track in the Stone Meadow area of the Country Park in Cranbrook as set out in the tender document in order to further enhance the amenities and facilities which are available for the benefit of local residents and visitors. Any prospective supplier is invited to submit their design proposal(s) in accordance with the specification set out in the tender document to the Town Council.
