Yate Town Council Supply of Gas and Electric to Town Council Properties

Yate Town Council reaches the end of a 3-year agreement with its current gas and electric providers in March 2023 and is opening up invitations to tender to providers of these utilities for a new 3-year agreement. The Council made a Climate Emergency Declaration in February 2020, as part of this commitment, the council require their energy supply to be certified as 100% from traceable renewable sources where investment in developing renewable capacity is prioritised, and all energy is certified with traceable certification. We recognise that some organisations are working towards green gas and currently operate by offsetting production. Such supplies will be considered but will be expected to provide information about the percentage of the gas supplied is green gas, and their plans for investing in increasing green gas innovation. Yate Town Council require suppliers to disclose the mix of fuels (coal, gas, nuclear, renewable, and other) used to generate the energy supplied. If your supply is offset solely, or in part, by renewable energy certification, you should state this information, including the certification type, in your submission. If a company cannot certify its renewable supply, tenders will be considered, providing the company provides transparency in its energy sourcing and can demonstrate the extent to which it departs from these provisions and the steps it is taking to achieve zero carbon or net zero carbon energy production, to enable the evaluation of its green commitment. Tenders will be assessed in terms of best value for money, renewable fuel mix, and for the service offered. The tender process will open on Friday 12th August 2021 and run for 3 weeks until noon on Friday 2nd September 2022. Supply Ransomes MP653 Mower

Yate Town Council would like to invite interested parties to tender for the opportunity to supply a Ransomes MP653 Wide Area Rotary Mower. We will not be purchasing the mower outright so are keen for you to outline the various options available to us in relation to leasing and/or hire purchase of the mower in your proposal. We also have 2 other vehicles which could be included as part-exchange options if that is a possibility. We have a 6 year-old MP493 and an Etesia Grass Collection Mower which could be included if you accept part-exchange as part of your offering. How to tender: Please use the specification below which outlines the vehicle we would like. Please provide as many options as possible in relation to the various leasing and hire purchase options which you would offer to us, as well as any options which would incorporate the part exchange of one or both vehicles mentioned. Yate Town Council reaches the end of a 5-year agreement with its current insurance providers in April 2023 and is opening up invitations to tender to insurance providers for a new 3-year agreement, with an option to extend the agreement to 5 years. Yate Town Council would like to invite interested parties to tender for the opportunity of Phase 2 of the Kingsgate Park Refurbishment project and have prepared the following documents to assist as part of the tender: • Design brief; • Form of Tender, Anti-collusion Certificate and Climate and Planet Declaration. The anticipated budget for the works is £200,000.00 excluding VAT How to tender: Please review the attached Design brief and return the following documents as part of your tender submission: • Signed Form of Tender, Anti-collusion Certificate and Climate and Planet Declaration; • Drawings, including a site plan and appropriate illustrations; • Detailed specification of works; • Written description of the play value of proposed elements within the design; • A priced and timed schedule of work items, listing individual elements with potential installation timeframe; • An elemental breakdown of tender will be required for valuations/ variation, or should the client wish to omit an item, or work element from tender; • Allowance for a RoSPA inspection at both design and installation stages; • Provide a method statement prior to beginning work on site to describe how the work will be managed on site, including safety provisions and protection of the public; • A minimum of 3 references, from projects with similar scale/ financial value. Yate Town Council - Event Management 2 Day Music Festival ( 4 year agreement ) starting June 2024 until June 2027 inclusive

Yate Town Council is seeking quotes for the event management of a 2 day music festival. Since 2005, Yate Town Council has organised an annual free community music festival weekend in Kingsgate Park, held in June. The 18.7 acre park, positioned in the middle of South Yate, is full of mature trees with two lakes and a large natural playground. It has an open space near one of the entrances, Elmwood, which lends itself to the positioning of a stage, with a large area for festival goers to sit. Stalls for food, drink and community groups are positioned around the space and leading further into the park. The two-day event is usually held on the 3rd or 4th weekend in June (date agreed in advance to avoid other large events in the vicinity). On the first day of the festival, local bands perform and there is a variety of music interspersed with dance groups. Previous festivals have seen audiences of up to approximately 7,000 people coming and going throughout the day. On the second day, local churches join together for 'Praise in the Park', followed by a Choir Showcase in the afternoon, with local choirs performing a range of popular music. To date there have been minimal food stalls on the second day of the festival, as light refreshments have been provided by the local church. Those attending are also encouraged to bring a picnic. This event is usually attended by approximately 500 people.
