CHIC KITCHENS AND BATHROOMS FRAMEWORK 2024-28

CHIC has supported members with previous new frameworks (for construction materials, works and services) and are now seeking to establish a 4-year framework for Kitchen and Bathroom renewals under our members Housing Capital and Investment Programmes. The aim of the Kitchens and Bathrooms Refurbishments is to bring our member's homes with kitchens or bathrooms that are beyond their useful life respectively which is currently 25 and 30-year cycles respectively. The Authority recognises that our members have prioritised Compliance works, we are now in a downcycle of investment for key elements of disrepair. In order to rectify this, much more investment is required for key elements including Kitchens and Bathrooms. The kitchen upgrade may potentially use materials from the CHIC kitchens Supply Framework (2023). Our members are responsible for a variety of property stock and may therefore be tenanted or other properties that are subject to Section 20 of Landlord and Tenant Act processes. Our Kitchens and Bathrooms Framework will cover repair, maintenance and/or supply and installation of kitchens, bathrooms, wet rooms, wc and electrics. Works can include (but not limited to) the following; • Extraction of the existing kitchen/bathroom/wetroom / wc (including all existing fixtures, fittings, tiles, floor coverings) • Removal of any materials of asbestos content under controlled conditions and in accordance with all current legislation • Implement any structural alterations to allow for the installation of the new kitchen or bathroom • The removal from site of all debris and the disposal of in the correct manner • The supply and installation of new kitchens/bathrooms/wetrooms / wc (including all new units, sanitary ware, tiling, floor coverings, pipework amendments, electrical alterations, ventilation works, fixtures & fittings, decoration works) • Test and certify the works upon completion • Occupational Therapy requirements and to comply with Part M of the Building Regulations.

Refurbishment and Modernisation Framework Agreement

This opportunity has been awarded on behalf of LHC Procurement Group (LHC) and our regional entities: Consortium Procurement Construction (CPC) LHC London and South East (LSE) Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA) South-West Procurement Alliance (SWPA) Welsh Procurement Alliance (WPA) The Refurbishment and Modernisation Framework (RM3) will replace our successful Whole House Framework (WH2). The Refurbishment and Modernisation Framework will provide our clients with access to a range of refurbishment, improvement and modernisation services to maintain their buildings and surrounding external areas. The framework builds on the scope of LHCs' Whole House Framework and extends the scope to allow for works to be carried out in both residential and non-residential buildings. This Framework consists of the following workstreams: - Kitchens & Bathrooms with Associated Works - Electrical Works - Painting & Decorating - Environmental & External Works - Multi-Disciplinary Works To encourage SMEs and regional bidders workstreams are further split into project value band lots and each lot is also broken down into multiple regional areas allowing bidders to apply for the regional areas they commonly operate in. Additional information: LHC Procurement Group Limited is a not for profit central purchasing body acting on behalf of contracting authorities throughout England, Wales and Scotland (including partners of the Welsh Procurement Alliance, Scottish Procurement Alliance and South West Procurement Alliance) for whom we continue to monitor up to 500 live projects at any one time. Thanks to their ongoing and collective feedback and input into the development of this framework and given the reach and scale of their collective portfolios, the framework is both designed and anticipated to support the vast majority of requirements. Consequently, other contracting authorities that were not specifically consulted in the development of this framework may nevertheless also deem the framework to offer a value for money procurement solution for their own requirements and may also use the framework. The framework will cover the geographical area of England and has been procured on behalf of: Consortium Procurement Construction (CPC) LHC London and South East (LSE) South-West Procurement Alliance (SWPA) LHCPG has also awarded this framework in Scotland and Wales on behalf of: Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA) Welsh Procurement Alliance (WPA) These two awards have accordingly been published on Public Contracts Scotland and Sell2Wales. This new Framework replaces our successful Whole House Framework (WH2). The Refurbishment and Modernisation Framework will provide our clients with access to a range of refurbishment, improvement and modernisation services to maintain their buildings and surrounding external areas. The framework builds on the scope of LHC's Whole House Framework and extends the scope to allow for works to be carried out in both residential and non-residential buildings. This Framework consists of the following workstreams: - Kitchens & Bathrooms with Associated Works - Electrical Works - Painting & Decorating - Environmental & External Works - Multi-Disciplinary Works This framework will commence on the 1st March 2024 and will run for 4 years (48 months).
