The Common Services Agency (more commonly known as National Services Scotland) (‘the Authority’) acting through its division National Procurement, is undertaking this procurement of Dressings (‘Products’) as outlined further below on behalf of all entities constituted pursuant to the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978, (i.e. all NHS Scotland Health Boards, Special Health Boards and the Authority or other NHS Organisation established pursuant to the NHS (Scotland) Act 1978), any integrated Joint Boards established pursuant to the new Public Bodies (Joint Working) Scotland Act 2014 (collectively hereafter referred to as (‘Participating Authorities’). Lot 001 to be awarded as a multi supplier unranked award and Lots 002-108 to be awarded as a multi supplier ranked award, were we envisage awarding Five (5) suppliers per lot.

Non-exclusive framework agreement for the supply of Paper Hygiene Products comprising of Hand Towels, Centrefeeds, Couch Rolls, Facial Tissues and Toilet Tissues to NHS Supply Chain depots via the Stock and Blue Diamond routes, or to any other nominated location(s) in the UK, and to the NHS Supply Chain customer base via the e-Direct Route. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that in the first 24 months of the framework agreement, the value of purchases will be between GBP £54,000,000 and GBP £74,000,000. However this is approximate, and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the framework agreement. The Framework Agreement will have an initial term of 24 months with an option to extend incrementally for up to a total period of 48 months.
