The Commonwealth Games Legacy Enhancement Fund (CWGLEF) Is funded by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport (DCMS) to enhance the legacy of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.\r Delivery will build on the projects delivered as part of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, addressing barriers for residents who do not benefit from the economic prosperity that major events bring to the region and supporting the response to the regional Mental Health Commission recommendations (West Midlands Mental Health Commission (wmca.org.uk)).\r \r The Commonwealth Games legacy activities are divided into 4 pillars:\r â€¢ Economy, trade, and tourism\r â€¢ Culture and heritage\r â€¢ Inclusive communities; and\r â€¢ Wellbeing and sustainability.\r The Jobs and Skills element sits within the Economy, Trade and Tourism pillar. The jobs and skills projects bring together two elements of the legacy funding to deliver employment support projects that include mental health and well being as an integral part of their activity.\r \r The total value of the mentoring contract is £117,000\r \r Year 1 value is £33,000\r Year 2 value is £84,000

The Department of Health and Social Care has awarded 24 for the delivery of Children and Young People Mental Health Hubs. The hubs will provide early intervention services for children and young people within the age range of 11-25 years old. The Council is aiming to implement a Framework of providers to help delivertheir Local Turnaround Programme. These services will be based on a model of intensive support options in the form of positive activity, education, and mentorship. The Service(s) are to be delivered through a whole Family approach, will enable Children and their Families to "own their own road to change" through the development of resilience which is empowered by networks of support within the Family, education, and the Community. Eligible Children (and their Families) will join a time limited programme of 12 weeks which will be determined by the needs ofthe Child.
