Stakeholder Consultation

Workstream A: Stakeholder Consultation DH is looking to complete a comprehensive Stakeholder Consultation Exercise to establish: (a) What services our stakeholders require now and in the future. (b) Identify who is being served by DH now and who DH is not currently reaching. (c) Identify new services needed to reach underserved communities. (d) Identify the preferred or most effective communication channels to reach and engage our stakeholders. (e) Challenges or obstacles in engaging with Heritage projects/initiatives. (f) Gain insights from the various stakeholder groups into how DH (or heritage in general) could offer opportunities or contribute to making the local area a better place to work, live or visit. The outcomes of this consultation will contribute to a Dacorum Heritage 30:30 strategy that reflects on our current collections and operating practices. This plan will form the basis of our Dacorum Heritage 30:30 vision and future business model, public engagement strategies and collections policies. Stakeholders include: • Local History Societies across Dacorum • Dacorum Borough Council • Local primary, secondary and special schools • Families • Care homes • Libraries • Local community groups • Young people, including those on work experience placements • Shopping centres • Policymakers • Local media (traditional, digital, and social media) • The business community • Creative industries (including digital innovation, gaming, VR agencies,) • Academia The outcomes of this consultation work will support Dacorum Heritage to apply for funding that will allow the organisation to put in place a long -term strategic plan that will: • Involve a wider range of people in heritage o Young people (13 -24 years) o Young adults (24+ years) o Families not currently engaging with local heritage o Socially isolated older people • Create an accessible and equalities led engagement strategy • Make the local area a better place to work, live or visit • Describe the opportunities for us to work with DBC Place Strategy • Make the organisation more resilient • Organisational and financial sustainability to ensure that that the collection and the services being provide to the community are secured for the next 30 years • Opportunities for ongoing income generation • Expansion of donor and grant-maker support • Deliver benefit to the people of Dacorum and secure long-term support of DBC • Achieve long term environmental sustainability and inclusion o Ambition to be Net Zero Carbon by 2030 • Embed equity, diversity, and inclusion as core principles in the strategy Deliverables • Stakeholder Engagement Report • Presentation of findings to Board, with presentation available afterwards • Documentation of findings o Imagery o Recordings o Statistics o Or similar Timeframe Stakeholder engagement: December/ January 2024 Finalised report and presentation: End of Jan 2024 To apply complete the Request for Proposal document email: [email protected]

Consultancy Services - Creative Industries Evidence Review and Action Plan

The CIoS Local Enterprise Partnership's Creative Industry Sector Body , is seeking the services of a consultant to undertake this work, which includes the following three phases: • Phase 1: Data review To identify the baseline data. This will include the identification of the existing infrastructure and latest available evidence on the size and scale of the creative and cultural sectors in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and to conduct a desk-based review of recently commissioned reports and their recommendations for action. • Phase 2: Consultation and comparator area review To undertake a light-touch consultation exercise with local civic leaders, businesses and organisations operating in the creative and cultural sectors and to provide a high-level review of comparator areas. This will include, where possible, an assessment of how other universities have maximised their role as local anchor institutions, rooted in the local community, to support creative and cultural sector businesses in their regions. • Phase 3: Action plan To work with the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly's Creative Industries Sector Body to develop an Action Plan that clearly sets out an ambitious pathway to sustainable economic growth for Cornwall's creative and cultural sectors. The Action Plan will provide the Creative Industry Sector Body with a call to action and route to achieving greater opportunity, access, infrastructure, and investment in our cultural and creative industries. It will support Falmouth University and the University of Exeter to use their world-leading research in creative disciplines to generate impact with creative and cultural industry businesses and drive the resulting social, economic, and environmental benefits.
