GB-Castle Point: EPP0102 - Employment support for economically inactive people for Castle Point Borough Council

Education and training services. Other community, social and personal services. Castle Point Borough Council ("CPBC") is seeking suitably experienced providers to deliver a provision of employment support for economically inactive people in the borough of Castle Point, Essex. Funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the employment support for economically inactive people is formed of three interventions under the Castle Point UKSPF Investment Plan: 1. Number of people in employment, including self-employment, following support 2. Number of people sustaining employment for six months and 3. Number of people gaining a qualification or completing a course following support. The contract period will be between 29th of April 2024 and 31st of March 2025. Beyond this the Council may consider extending the contract by agreement with the Supplier for a further period of up to 12 months. Such an extension will be subject to availability of additional funding and positive demonstration of progress and achievement in all quarters by the end of January 2025 of the outputs and outcomes. The Essex Procurement Partnership Team is running the procurement process on behalf of Castle Point Borough Council. The contracting authority will be Castle Point Borough Council.

Springfield House Support Service For Young Parents - AWARD

Milton Keynes City Council invite providers to tender for Springfield House Support Service For Young Parents With Babies And Pregnant Mothers. This is a housing related support service to young people with babies and pregnant women to enable them to move on to more independent living within settled accommodation. The service is a based hostel accommodation with self-contained units. The service will also offer time-limited resettlement support when residents move on. The service will employ support staff with relevant qualifications, expertise, and aptitude to offer personalised support to residents. Most young people referred will need support to develop their independent living skills and support in their parenting role. The young people will require a supportive, structured, and stable environment with clear boundaries in which to do this. This cohort of young people will have complex and multifaceted needs. This could include emotional and mental health issues, drug, and alcohol misuse, partaking in criminal activity and anti-social behaviours or being at risk of sexual exploitation. The young parents will have differing levels of practical and emotional capacity to be able to live independently. The service provider will need to have an understanding and be aware of the needs of this vulnerable client group and that these needs may present as challenging behaviours such as threats to harm themselves or others. The service provider will proactively manage any risk and work with the young person and relevant professionals to improve outcomes. The service will be delivered at Springfield House, which is the accommodation provided by Orbit Housing Association. The Service provider is expected to enter a lease agreement with Orbit and be responsible for all housing management at the property. Please refer to the Housing Management documents attached) The proposed terms of the contract is for the initial period of 3 years with a possible extension of 2 years making a total term of 5 years

Temporary Accommodation & Associated Services Flexible Purchasing System

The City of Edinburgh Council established a flexible purchasing system for temporary accommodation in March 2022. This was a long-term opportunity with the aim to increase Edinburgh’s capacity for temporary accommodation. The Council require accommodation and associated services which are tailored to resident’s needs, can adapt by flexing capacity whilst having a focus on value for money and allows continued change and improvement. The Council are re-opening applications to the flexible purchasing system for Category 2 - Temporary Accommodation with Residential Support, specifically: Category 2a – Supported Lodgings, and Category 2C – Homeless Accommodation with Support. The Council will be using the PCS-Tender online portal to run and manage the opportunity, and as such strongly encourage interested potential providers to attend training on the operation of the purchasing system and PCS-T.

East Ayrshire Council as the Lead Accountable Body and Lead Partner of the Local Employability Partnership (EALEP) is seeking to work in partnership with training providers, the third sector and other organisations to utilise funding that delivers an all age, needs based, person centred support to those seeking to move towards, enter, sustain and progress in employment; to reduce levels of child poverty by supporting parents from the priority family groups to increase their income from employment; to reduce inequality in the labour market by supporting those further from the labour market to increase their income from employment; and to maximise the role that employability plays in delivering national and local aims of tackling poverty, promoting inclusion and social justice and creating a fair and prosperous Scotland. Services will be procured from providers who are experienced in delivering to individuals who face barriers to employment and require additional support in order to obtain, gain and sustain employment. EALEP is seeking partners who can ensure a person centred approach and deliver provision in localities across East Ayrshire.
