The Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE) plays a vital role in Kingston supporting some of the borough’s most vulnerable residents. The sector has played a crucial role in the Kingston Covid response and continued funding of local Voluntary Community Sector organisations is an important part of ensuring the Authority has an effective approach to early help and prevention. These proposals build on learning from the Covid response, the priorities of the Communities Taskforce, the recommendations from Seizing the Moment, and sector best practice. The service priorities, specification requirements and monitoring approach have been co-designed with the sector. A phased approach to the commissioning process has been adopted, with contracts falling into earlier Phase 1, 2, 3 contracts and the remaining contracts into this Phase 4. This procurement exercise is in relation to Phase 4 only. There are two (2) proposed Commissioning Themes in Phase 4. Each Commissioning Theme has Lots which indicate the type of service provision required. This assists us in focussing our intentions into areas of need. Commissioning Theme 6: Mental Health and Wellbeing Lot 6a - Dementia Advice & Support Services Lot 6b - Mental Health Support Lot 6c - Bereavement Counselling & Support Services Commissioning Theme 9: Advocacy Lot 9a - Integrated Advocacy Tenderers will be required to set out in their Tender which Theme Lot/s they are bidding for.

Hertfordshire County Council is out to procurement for The Provision of Community Dementia Support Services. Community Dementia Support Services are available to everyone who wants support, no matter where they are on the dementia journey. Services support those at the early stages of progressive memory loss, after diagnosis, those with advancing dementia, those preparing to move into residential care and people still living in the community at end of life. Carers are also supported along their own journeys. This Contract is divided into two Lots - Lot 1 The Hertfordshire Dementia Community Information and Development Service Lot 2 The Hertfordshire Dementia Local Community Support Service The Hertfordshire Dementia Local Community Support Service (Lot 2), includes a specialist service to support those living with Young Onset Dementia, alongside the wider universal service offer. Full details are in the Specification, Schedule 1 of the Terms and Conditions document. The estimated annual spend is ?1,455,000.00. The Contract will be awarded for an initial term of three years and six months, with the option to extend the Contract up to two further years on an annual basis. Dementia Information and Support Service - AWARD

Milton Keynes City Council invites providers to tender for Dementia Information and Support Service (DISS). The DISS will provide information, guidance, advice and support to all people aged over 18 with a diagnosis of dementia or who are concerned that they, or someone they know, may have symptoms of dementia. The service will also deliver a message of the actions that can be taken to prevent dementia and the importance of early diagnosis. Support will also be provided for people caring for people living with dementia. This will include increasing their knowledge and understanding of dementia The purpose of the DISS is to provide people with access to support that meets their particular needs. The range of opportunities provided needs to ensure that a wide range of customer needs are met. This should include gender-based approaches, young onset provision, support for people of working age and those living alone. This list is not exhaustive, and the Provider will be expected to change and adapt to reach new and emerging need. The proposed terms of the contract is for the initial period of 3 years with a possible extension of 2 years making a total term of 5 years.
