Care and Support in Extra Care Housing Framework

Cumberland Council has awarded a number of providers on to the Care and Support in Extra Care Housing Framework for an initial period of FOUR years (with two optional extensions). Extra Care Housing Schemes provide an onsite care team 24/7 to ensure the care and support for people residing within the schemes in Cumberland can meet planned and unplanned assessed care needs to enable people to live as independently as possible. The care and support is flexible, responsive, and able to provide non-scheduled support to people as required.

Care and Support in Extra Care Housing Framework

Cumberland Council has various sized Extra Care Housing schemes within its area. The extra care schemes are made up of self-contained units which comprise of a lounge, kitchen, bathroom and 1 or 2 bedrooms. Each scheme will have a communal area such as a lounge, café, or activity room. Extra Care Housing Schemes provide an onsite care team 24/7 to ensure the care and support for people residing within the schemes in Cumberland can meet planned and unplanned assessed care needs to enable people to live as independently as possible. The care and support needs to be flexible, responsive, and able to provide non-scheduled support to people as required. Refer to the service specification at schedule 2 for further details.\r \r The council proposes to enter into the framework agreement for an initial period of FOUR years with the successful tenderers.\r \r There are TWO optional extensions of up tp 12 months each. These optional extensions are at the complete discretion of the council. If these optional extensions are used, the framework will end on 31st July 2030.\r \r The estimated total value of the Framework for the initial term is £7,700,000 excluding VAT.\r The estimated maximum value of the Framework for the four year initial term, plus the two optional 12 month extensions based on current support requirements is £12,800,000 excluding VAT. \r \r Extension and uplift amounts are indicative only and the council does not guarantee these at this stage. Residential Substance Misuse Services

This procurement is issued under Direct Award Process B in line with the new Provider Selection Regime.\r \r This contract is for Residential Substance Misuse Services and is divided into two Lots:\r \r â€¢ Tier 4 In-patient Detoxification Residential Services\r â€¢ Residential Rehabilitation from Substance Misuse\r \r The Council is seeking multiple providers that can provide either or both of the above named services. \r \r This is a flexible open agreement where, at any time, any Provider that meets the required standards in the Selection Questionnaire can be awarded a contract. \r \r The Council makes no guarantee to any Provider that they will be awarded a placement and no guarantee is made in respect of any volume of work under any such agreements, or in aggregate under the contract. \r \r Each Provider should understand that their submission constitutes an acceptance to the Council of the terms of the Contract. The contract affords the Provider merely the opportunity to respond to an invitation from the Council for the provision of services. \r \r The Contract provides for no form of exclusivity or volume guarantee by the Council for Services from the Provider and the Council is at all times entitled to enter into other contracts and agreements with other Providers for the provision of any Services.\r \r Where a Service is required, the Council will approach the Provider for the service required and confirm with the Provider that they are able to provide the service required within the timescales. The capped daily or weekly rates submitted by the Provider in the Selection Questionnaire (Pricing Schedule) will be the maximum daily or weekly rate for the services.
