County Hall Works Contract - Phase 1 Construction Works

The project objective is to find a solution to mitigate against the potential risks posed by the in situ Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) in order that the building can be brought back into use. Phase 1 of the project is to secure access for maintenance to enable the ground floor to be accessible and usable by staff and the public and to make safe the Chamber. These areas are critical for functionality of County Hall. This Contract is for the initial securing of the site and the enabling and facilitation of the carrying out of investigations and surveys which are required to define the extent of the temporary and permanent works required to achieve the project aims and to support the Clients' Designer in developing the outline design.

Acivico Building Consultancy Ltd on behalf of Birmingham City Council invites tenders for the demolition of Saxelby House, Barratts House and Kingswood House, Kimpton Close, Druids Heath, Birmingham, B14 5TF The works comprise of the demolition of 3 No. 13 Storey dwelling, general site clearance and removal of asbestos containing materials. The site must be well secured by use of appropriate fencing during the contract. The contract will be for a duration of 52 weeks, with an anticipated commencement of 13 March 2023. The contract will be awarded to a single supplier. The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
