T0611 Back-up power generation for Operational Technology

The Consultant undertakes the following activities to comply with the deliverables and timescales outlined in the table specified in S730.1 for all packages. The Consultant also considers the stakeholders, relationships, legal and Licence requirements that may or will be required to support the Client in these endeavours. A Benefits Realisation Plan will be developed as part of this Task Order, in the meantime a key benefit will be the confidence that our customers will be able to have the same safe and reliable journeys during times of power outages thanks to the availability of back-up power generation for our critical operational technologies. The need for this has increased as the number of safety critical items on the SRN increases. This Work Order has been spilt into 6 packages with the package titles as follows: - WP1000 - Current technologies and understanding - WP2000 - Review of power outages over (last 10 years) and impact on National Highways - WP3000 - Recommendations on suitable generation technology (complementary with Net Zero Highways) and recommendations on which operational technology to prioritise - WP4000 - Development of Initial Outline Business Case (IOBC) for next phase - WP5000 - Stakeholder engagement - WP6000 - Project management and governance

AMP 8 Framework- Capital Strategic Delivery Partners (SDP)

Southern Water Services (SWS) is anticipating that AMP8 will be the largest investment programme it has ever undertaken, given its plans for WINEP and WRMP, and the service it is seeking to deliver for customers. SWS now wishes to secure a range of supply chain partners for the delivery of its AMP8 capital programme. The AMP8 regulatory period will run from April 2025 to March 2030. The current frameworks used for engineering, design and construction services have been in place for almost 10 years and expire on 31st March 2025. In procuring new frameworks, we are seeking to build on positive changes made in AMP7, but also to look beyond AMP8 and take important steps to reflect supplier feedback, moving towards excellence in all that we do. The new arrangements will offer the option of running for AMP9. In parallel to this procurement process, Southern Water is working up its plans for PR24 – including working with our regulators and stakeholders to confirm the investment that will be available, and the capital delivery projects that will need to be undertaken. The PR24 process will benefit from having the AMP8 supply chain in place to assist with ongoing planning and transition to AMP8. A collaborative framework for the delivery of strategic programmes, including; strategic planning, outline design, detailed design and build The scope of the framework is anticipated to be as follows: Services across the Client’s geographical region including Isle Of Wight (IOW). This is intended to be used for a Strategic Delivery Partner working across the Asset Lifecycle Process providing strategic planning, design, construction management services and expertise. Identify and develop options in accordance with the Client’s technical and engineering standards for all aspects of Water, Wastewater and Infrastructure systems. Achieve the required asset performance or customer outcomes by identifying: low build or no-build solutions. sustainable including low carbon, catchment, and nature-based solutions. lowest Totex or Best Value solutions across an agreed Tranche or Programme of works. how the solution(s) deliver benefit as measured through the Client’s Balanced Scorecard, and at an aggregate catchment or system level.

T0561 MCHW validation task - COSTAIN

Key objectives of this commission are: A. Validate the usability of the WSR templates. B. Validate that, once WSR templates have been completed, the required project specification in the new format is fit for purpose and would be appropriate for a formal issue. C. Validate the process for recording departures required by the specification using the WSR templates. D. Obtain a realistic perspective on compiled WSR templates when used on site. E. Living Water Enterprise

Delivering Northumbrian Water Limited's (NWL) AMP8 programme, and beyond, will require a step change in how we collaborate, manage risk and co-ordinate our capital investment. We have developed a clear vision and process for how we want to deliver our plan and our ambitious transformation programme to implement this roadmap has already commenced with the award of framework agreements for professional services contracts. These lay the foundations for our new supply chain landscape or 'Living Water Ecosystem'. This award notice is in relation to the Living Water Enterprise. A separate notice for the Wider Ecosystem lots (FA08-02) will be published on completion of that procurement process. The majority of NWL's complex long cycle programmes will be delivered by the Living Water Enterprise (LWE). It's a fully integrated, highly collaborative delivery vehicle which works seamlessly to achieve the best overall business outcomes. The LWE will: • Think and act as a single entity, focused on outcomes and mutual goals; • Incentivise performance to make sure collective success is the priority, not financial returns for any individual party; • Embed TOTEX principles across the LWE from the outset; • Place Delivery Optimisation as one of its key priorities and will consider this at a programme level to so that we operate a best athlete principle rather than rigid supplier boundaries.
