Technical Assessment of the Changes to the Outdoor Noise Directive

The Department for Business and Trade is seeking to commission a project to an organisation with expert knowledge in acoustics with a focus on the noise by equipment for use outdoors. We are seeking expert advice in assessing the changes that the EU has made to Annex III of the Outdoor Noise Directive and the impact that these changes may have on manufacturers of equipment in scope of the Directive. We are seeking this information as, under the Windsor Framework Agreement between the UK Government and the EU, the UK Government must implement these changes in Northern Ireland. The information will be beneficial in future policy making more widely too. We require the organisation to produce us with a report containing the following information, once they have completed their analysis: - A high-level summary of what the changes actually are/what they mean which can be easily understood by an audience without knowledge of the technical or scientific detail; - A more in-depth analysis of the differences between the Annex III in the original Directive and the new Annex III; - Assessment of the potential impacts that these changes might have on manufacturers of outdoor equipment in scope; - Any additional insights into the affected sector.

GMCA 970 Knowledge Transfer Partnership - Data Sharing Framework

The GM Information Strategy has identified a need for academic input to help design a business change tool that helps to embed the organisation's information sharing framework across Greater Manchester partners. The KTP will research and design how to most effectively create and sustain change of practice to support the embedding of an agreed framework across a city region. Informed by this research, the output will be tools for change that GMCA and other organisations can use to specifically implement the data sharing framework in their local practice and on a regional level. This support is needed due to: o Lack of extensive knowledge and understanding about sustaining business change across a city region and its information sharing practice. o Lack of capability to develop a sound model of implementation for the framework that can work for a range of organisations. o The need for insight into why past projects have not been able to secure lasting impact despite a clear appetite for a framework.

National Framework for Police Constable Entry Route Programmes

The requirement will be tendered via a multi-supplier framework, lotted by delivery model. There will be no restriction to the number of suppliers awarded under each lot. Framework participants (Police Forces) will be able to call off from the Framework Agreement.BlueLight Commercial are looking to establish a national framework which is bespoke for policing, to embed the new optimised curriculum and assessments for the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship Programme and the Degree Holder Entry Programme. The College of Policing is managing the sharing of required curriculum and specification documents with higher education providers who are considering bidding. All HEIs are required to sign a Non-disclosure Agreement prior to documents being shared, the lead provider must hold Taught Degree Awarding Powers.
