Description
City of Wolverhampton Council (CWC) seeks to procure specialist support services for victims of domestic abuse, including children. Informed by best practice, the new services will respond to local need and recognise the rich diversity of the city. In accordance with Part 4 of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, the new services will respond to the duty on local authorities to provide support for all victims of domestic abuse and their children within safe and relevant accommodation. They will also be expected to make a key contribution to Wolverhampton's response to children affected by domestic abuse as victims in their own right, as set out in the Act (2021). CWC is seeking to procure the following services: Lot 1: Domestic abuse specialist support in safe accommodation. Lot 2: Domestic abuse specialist support for women and their children in the community. Lot 3: Domestic abuse specialist support for men. Lot 4: Sanctuary support for victims of domestic abuse at home. Lot 5: Specialist counselling and therapy support for adult victims of domestic abuse. The procurement procedure will be the open, above threshold procedure in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23) and it will be designated light touch in accordance with section 9 of PA23.
