Description

The Council has a requirement for a specialist contractor to undertake window (core) sampling through the Hunstanton Coastal Defence promenade deck, as per recommendations of geotechnical investigations. 
Window samples are required every 25m along the 1.5km of the promenade to confirm the presence of voids and their extent. This will inform the amount of void infilling which is required as part of the capital works project. 
Some concrete window samples will also be sent for lab testing to confirm the concrete strength which will feed into the design for promenade works. 
Pencil cores will also be taken at 2-3 locations along the wave-return wall (Sections E, C and B) to confirm the strength of the concrete which is the same age as the promenade deck. 
Anticipated commencement date for works is February 2026. 
Outcomes from these window (core) samples will then be used for the detailed structural engineering design which is due to commence April 2026.

CLT will publish an Invitation to Tender in order to appoint a Project Management Consultancy to support our capital investment programme for an initial three year period, with options to further extend by two further 1 year periods. Our capital investment programme is funded by a combination of SCA grant and a further annual contribution made by each of our schools. Prioritisation of that funding each year is guided by criteria set by our Trustees and building condition data. The appointed consultancy will support the further development of a Trust-wide Asset Management Plan (AMP) that aligns with the DfE Good Estate Management for Schools (GEMS) framework. The AMP will consolidate existing fabric and M&E condition data and provide a structured basis for planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and capital investment planning across the estate. The objective of the support provided by the appointed consultancy is to: Establish a consistent condition dataset across all schools in the Trust. Prioritise maintenance and lifecycle investment works in a transparent and evidence-based manner. Support Trust budget planning, compliance obligations, and strategic estate decision-making. In addition, the appointed consultancy will provide a range of services in a framework agreement. It is envisaged a single supplier will be appointed to fulfil all requirements under the framework agreement. As specific projects are not yet defined and subject to allocation of funding from the DfE, there is no commitment to particular volumes of business under the framework agreement. WATER QUALITY MONITORING SERVICE/ Legionella Control Management Programme

Mid Ulster District Council wishes to appoint a suitably experienced and competent contractor to assist in monitoring the legionella risks across the Council's estate. The Council engages in the usual range of Local Government activity, including Leisure Services, Community Services, Parks and Open Spaces, Tourism, Cultural Facilities, Refuse Collection, Street Cleansing, Environment Health, Burial Grounds, Public Conveniences, Administration, Employment, Finance, Economic Development and Building Control amongst others.
