In Doncaster, our vision is of comprehensive, open-access sexual and reproductive health and wellbeing services available both in-person and online, with flexible options for underserved populations. Services should be compassionate, person-centred, and free from judgment. Providers should embed dignity and respect in every interaction, empowering individuals to make informed choices about their sexual and reproductive health and wellbeing.

Westminster HealthWorks

Westminster HealthWorks is a borough-wide, community-led public health initiative commissioned by Westminster City Council as part of the #2035 commitment to improve population health. The Service aims to reduce health inequalities by delivering culturally responsive, preventative health interventions that improve heart, lung, and mental health outcomes for adults aged 16 and over. Delivered through a hub-and-spoke model, HealthWorks will be led by a Lead Provider (the hub) that subcontracts with a network of at least 7 voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations (the spokes). These Subcontractors will co-design and deliver tailored interventions such as blood pressure monitoring, smoking cessation support, health coaching, and culturally competent counselling. Westminster Coummunity Champions - The overarching aim of all of the projects is to recruit local resident volunteers (the Champions) to work with their families, friends, neighbours and wider communities to increase health and wellbeing and address health inequalities. They do this through a range of approaches including ongoing activities, groups, classes and sessions, outreach and pop-ups, large events, and public health campaigns. They work in partnership with a myriad of local services including VCS, council and NHS and a key part of their role is to signpost residents as needed to other services.
