Description

The South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority wish to commission as a pilot programme, a Focussed Deterrence mentoring service that will offer enhanced support to the cohort of children and young people identified by South Yorkshire Police (SYP) as being of increased risk of involvement in serious violence and this opportunity is for a provider of that service.
The service will offer trauma-informed mentoring and support to young people on a voluntary basis with the intended service outcomes being to divert young people away from crime and prevent/reduce future incidents of knife crime and most serious violence in Sheffield, 
This may widen to other areas in South Yorkshire during the life of the contract.

Diversion from offending & early intervention programme

Brent Council requires the provision of a Diversion from Offending and Early Intervention Programme. The programme will have multiple functions for the duration of this contract and will provide support in the following ways: Provide a street based outreach service to enable earlier identification and intervention of those on the cusp of offending or not yet known to statutory services and at risk of increased offending; Gaining access to the main London prisons such as HMP Wormwood Scrubs, Wandsworth and Feltham Young Offenders Institute to be able to provide support to cohort offenders prior to release; Meet the targeted cohort at the prison gate (London only) when released and escort to release appointments; Provide flexible working hours to meet the needs of the service users to be able to accommodate work and school hours, shift work outside of Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm dependent on a case by case basis. The services are being commissioned across 12 geographical Lots and the contract duration will be for an initial period of 2 years and 9 months. Community Connectors lead on local community development initiatives with the aim of re-connecting people with their communities, understanding not only what communities provide but how to make the best use of community assets. These roles provide on the ground support to individuals, groups and communities to change the conversation from ‘providing services to communities’; to ‘how we can work with and help communities to help themselves’. The role is more than simply one of community development; it is about listening to communities, uncovering what is important and what will lead to the greatest impact for a community and for our services. Community Connectors help to facilitate ‘grass roots problem solving’ and take an asset-based approach to building and connecting communities together to become stronger and resilient. T2680 PEACEPLUS Sanctuary Theatre Animation Project

This contract contributes to the implementation of the Community Regeneration and Transformation (CRT) theme of the Belfast PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan. This Contract is for an animation programme to compliment capital works to upgrade and improve performance facilities in the Sanctuary Theatre, a cultural and arts venue in East Belfast. The animation programme will use the vehicle of drama and discussion to directly combat and address good relations issues in an interface area and throughout the city through a range of activities, including the delivery of good relations arts programmes in schools, drama productions and a cross community and interethnic volunteering programme, and will involve meaningful and purposeful engagement with 1,080 participants, and 600 individuals attending Good Relations themed productions. This project forms parts of the Belfast PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan, which is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
