Description

Warwickshire County Council intends to appoint a Supplier under a Single-Stage Design and Build Contract for whole site enabling works and the development of a new Library and Business Centre in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. The project has progressed to the conclusion of RIBA Stage 3, and by the commencement of the second stage of this procurement process, RIBA Stage 4 documentation will be available. The Council have been working alongside Mace Consult with regards to this Project, as lead consultant, with Associated Architects, Cundall and Turley as supply chain partners. Mace will be retained in the following roles: Project Management, Contract Administration and Cost Management (for RIBA Stages 5-7) with all design activities being carried out by the Contractor.

GCC Highways Major Projects Construction Framework

The Council is undertaking a competitive procurement process for a four-year multi-supplier Framework Agreement for the supply of highway construction works required by the council in relation to Highways Major Projects. The framework agreement shall comprise two lots: one for Highways Projects and the other for Structures and Geotechnical Projects . Tenderers will be selected based on quality, financial and social value criteria. The procurement of the framework is intended to replace a series of open tenders for construction works. Lot 1: Highways Projects (£0.5m - £10m) Scope: New road construction and major junction upgrades. Carriageway widening, integrated transport schemes, and public realm enhancements. Earthworks, surfacing, drainage, kerbing, lighting, and signage. Stakeholder engagement and statutory undertaker coordination. Design and build (where applicable). Full scope will be provided in the tender documents. Lot 2: Structures and Geotechnical Projects (£0.25m - £10m) Scope: Bridge construction and refurbishment. Retaining walls, culverts, tunnels, and geotechnical stabilisation. Drainage schemes. Structural strengthening, waterproofing, parapet upgrades. Piling, soil nailing, slope stabilisation. Palmerston Play Area Refurbishment

The Vale of Glamorgan Council requires works to upgrade Palmerston Play Area in Gibbonsdown, Barry. The Council has secured Funding from the ‘All Wales Play opportunities Grant 2025-26. Capital grant for play spaces and playgrounds’. Tenders are sought from experienced contractors to design and implement works to upgrade the existing play area, which is in poor condition. The existing play area is set within Parks land adjacent to an existing MUGA. The site currently comprises of swings, a roundabout, a springy animal and a climbing unit. The area is well used by children from Palmerston Primary School. After consultancy exercises with the school, it was noted that the children would like accessible play equipment. The site itself can suffer from ground water flooding in low lying areas, so it will be necessary for all equipment to be installed at a similar or higher level than the adjacent pathway. There is one area in particular that floods and is highlighted in the attached appendices. Ideally the play equipment is to be grouped together so that it can be accessed from the pathways and from item to item. If the new area of surfacing for the new play equipment is greater than 100m2 over and above the existing surfacing, SUDS approval will be required. We require the contractor to suggest proposed drainage; the client will apply for the SUDS necessary. Items of equipment should not be above 4ms high. If this is the case Planning permission will not be required. Tenders are sought from experienced contractors to design and implement works to upgrade the play area. The scope of the work s includes the following activities: - • Design of new play area. • Removal of existing play equipment, surfacing and site furniture. (See Appendices). • Supply and installation of new play equipment, surfacing, site furniture and any other works to complete the approved scheme. • Provide access track for vehicles to the site to stop damage to fields. (As necessary, See Appendices). • Be free draining if possible and comply with SAB legislation if applicable • Reinstatement of site as necessary. All works must be undertaken in accordance with the Council’s brief and drawing supplied and approved by the Contractor.

Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) fund - Electric Vehicle Charge Point Network - Concession Contract on The Isle of Wight

The Authority has been awarded £1.625m LEVI funding from the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) through the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) fund. Based on that funding the Authority is now seeking to award a single concession contract for a supplier to install and operate an affordable and easy to use, reliable and widely accessible and recognisable Electric Vehicle (EV) charge point network across the Isle of Wight (the 'Contract') The form of contract has been developed in alignment with the LEVI Heads of Terms. The Authority will be looking for a Supplier who can demonstrate a commitment to maximising the use of the LEVI funding and deliver an ambitious project with a full solution offering end to end services. It would be the intention that the successful supplier would invest its own resources, to be used in conjunction with the LEVI funding, to significantly increase the number of public chargepoints available on the public highway network across the island. The project will involve the deployment of local, primarily low powered on street charging infrastructure which must focus on locations that serve residential communities and those residents that do not have access to off road car parking. The Supplier will be required to deliver all aspects of the goods, services and works needed for the Project, which will include purchasing relevant Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (EVCI), connecting it to the grid and maintaining, upgrading and managing the operation of the chargepoint network across a 15-year term.
