Description

We are creating a light touch framework.
The Council offers travel assistance for children and vulnerable adults between home and school/day care who are eligible for transport support under the Council’s policies.  Travel assistance is provided through a combination of internal fleet delivery and external contracts for separate routes. 
Eligible people are transported to and from the school/college/day care centre safely and on time or at a time to suit the needs of the service requirements. This should be in a provision that is clean, correctly maintained, appropriate to user needs and driven by courteous and respectful drivers who can attend to their specific needs, supported when required by passenger assistants.

Transportation of Bodies on Behalf of the Coroner for Cornwall & The Isles of Scilly

The Coroner for Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly is required to arrange the removal of bodies from the place of death to a designated mortuary or body holding facility in order to allow the investigation into any sudden, unexpected or unnatural deaths reported to them under The Coroner’s & Justice Act 2009. Cornwall's Senior Coroner manages the strategy for body transportation. The Police Control Centre or (occasionally) a Coroner’s Officer will instruct a service provider for collections from scene to a mortuary. Cornwall Council, the responsible body, uses a competitive tender process to appoint these service providers, ensuring efficient transport of bodies within the county, to Devon, or even nationally, as needed. The Council commissions this statutory service and the current contract is due to expire on 31/03/26. A new tender process needs to be completed.

Plymouth City Council ("The Authority") is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and capable Supplier to deliver a range of accessible transport services within the city of Plymouth. These services include the provision of Shopmobility, Demand Responsive Transport (DRT), and a Community Car Scheme. The successful Supplier will be expected to deliver the following core services: 1. Shopmobility Services Shopmobility enables residents and visitors with mobility impairments to access Plymouth city centre by providing the hire of manual wheelchairs and electric scooters. The service operates from a central base located on the ground floor of the Mayflower East Car Park, Mayflower Street, Plymouth, PL1 1QJ. 2. Demand Responsive Transport (Dial-a-Ride) This door-to-door transport service is designed for Plymouth residents who are eligible for a concessionary bus pass and who are unable to access conventional public transport due to mobility or accessibility challenges. 3. Community Car Scheme A not-for-profit car-sharing initiative that supports residents with mobility issues in accessing essential services and facilities across Plymouth. The scheme is operated by volunteer drivers using their own vehicles. The Authority is committed to ensuring these services remain accessible, reliable, and responsive to the needs of Plymouth's residents and visitors. The appointed Supplier will be expected to demonstrate a strong understanding of inclusive transport, community engagement, and service innovation, while delivering high-quality, customer-focused services.

Framework Agreement for Taxi and Private Hire Provision

North Lanarkshire Council (the “Council”) requires the provision of passenger transport services to supplement its existing arrangements managed by Strathclyde Passenger Transport (SPT) for school pupil transport (drop-offs and pickups before and after the school day), and transport for pupils with Additional Support Needs (ASN). To meet this need, the council intends to establish a multi-lot, multi-supplier framework agreement for taxi and private hire services that shall support a range of transport requirements, including (but not limited to) services for Integrated Day Services, wider social care provision, housing, education, corporate and elected members for staff-related travel. Full information on the Details of Requirements to be applied within the framework agreement are detailed in ITT Annex 1 available via PCS-Tender.
