Greensand Multi Academy Trust is a ten-school medium sized Trust operating within the Surrey and West Sussex Local Authorities.The Trust has used Twelve15 for its catering since conversion. The Trust had served notice on Twelve15 even before they had announced a reduction in their operations. The tender project is seeking to appoint a contractor whose initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of service within the existing facilities for the 4,202 students on roll and approximately 750 teaching and support staff, with a focus on exciting new food concepts to satisfy a wide range of pupil tastes and dietary requirements. The Trust would wish the successful contractor to review the current range of services offered and make recommendations accordingly. The contract being tendered is for three years in duration from September 2026 to September 2029 and will operate as a Guaranteed Performance Contract, with the successful contractor offering the school a guaranteed return / cost per annum for the provision of catering services. Sovereignty of the cash tariff is to remain with the schools within Greensand Multi Academy Trust for the duration of this contract. The school year is based on a calendar of 195 days. Five days are to be used for staff professional development which means that School will be open to receive students for the legal minimum of 190 days. The contract offered covers the scope for the provision of all catering services within the schools, which currently includes lunch, all hospitality and free issue requirements. Free school meals and hospitality will be charged based on consumption and at net food cost. In the case of Reigate School, the catering offer is limited at breakfast, but at full capacity at lunch and breaktimes. Whilst the school prioritises value for money as a key objective of the competitive tender process, the governing body is not obliged to accept the lowest price. Greensand Academy Trust expects the successful contractor to enable the continued development of catering through the provision of an innovative, healthy food service, with fresh, seasonal, locally sourced ingredients being prepared on-site. The Trust expects the successful tenderer to evidence, through their bid, how they shall support and complement its values and support the principles of healthy eating and sustainability. The Trust believes that success should be celebrated and that pupils should enjoy their time at school; if lessons are stimulating and challenging then students will love learning. Much time therefore, is spent reviewing and planning schemes of work to ensure that they are differentiated to meet the needs of all students. As a result, the Trust is enthusiastic regarding work experience and apprenticeship proposals and would welcome the input of the successful contractor. As a Trust who are continually seeking ways to improve and develop the ethos and environment for students and staff, to give them the facilities they deserve and need to meet the challenges of the 21st Century, any consideration regarding inward capital investment as part of the contractor’s tender submission would be welcomed. Cotham School ~ Catering Tender

The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering and hospitality services for Cotham School. Two sites listed below of the school are included in the tender, and we are seeking tender submissions for the whole contract. Cotham School has an excellent reputation in Bristol built upon its results and student performance ranked one of the best. The successful contractor will be required to deliver a service and meet the requirements of the specification at each site from the contract commencement. 1 - Secondary Schools 1 – Sixth form centre The process is to be inclusive of the requirements for the following locations: •Cotham School, Cotham Lawn Road, Cotham, Bristol, BS6 6DT •Cotham Learning Community, Charnwood House, 30 Cotham Park, Bristol, BS6 6BU The contract being tendered is for 3 years in duration from 1st September 2026 until 31st August 2029, with the option to extend for further terms of 1 +1 years on the same terms and conditions excluding the right to further extend. The contract will be guaranteed performance in nature. The tender project is seeking to appoint a Contractor whose Initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of all catering services within the school. The high-quality service levels proposed, should maintain excellent standards throughout, resulting in a new food service offer with consistent high standards of food operations across the sites. Regular customer and parental engagement (using digital platforms and social media) will be required to ensure this is the case moving into the contract term. These new standards of operation should meet the needs of pupil’s moving forward into this contract term. The contract will operate on a guaranteed basis (return or subsidy) with free school meals being charged to the client monthly at net food cost only. All hospitality is to be charged on a net food cost basis. The approximate current revenue (sales) within the contract annually is in the region of £352,000 across both locations. The successful contractor will be expected to put forward both innovation and their proposals for making this contract more environmentally sensitive and carbon neutral moving into this contract term both by way of contract delivery and within the successful contractor’s organisation, while working to deliver the Cotham School environmental policies. Your approach to sustainability should mirror that of the school’s. The successful contractor should be able to evidence significant steps towards carbon neutrality as well as demonstrable plans to achieve their targets throughout the contractual term. It will be expected that sustainability as well as social value be reported through the management review meetings. The terms and conditions of employment and recognition offered to the catering operatives should be both progressive and forward thinking ensuring that the staffing establishment is always complete, and staff turnover is kept to a minimum.
