S30043 Planning and Support for Survey Standards

Description

National Highways is seeking specialist technical consultants to undertake the re-write of both GG 951 & GS 952 in line with the Manual for Development of Documents (MDD).
The update of both GG 951 & GS 952 is a requirement of the MDD v6.5 in which s20.6 states 'the first document review shall be scheduled for completion 4 years after the documents initial publication date, allowing up to a year for the changes to go through the governance process and be published within a 5-year cycle'.
Both GG 951 & GS 952 were initially published in August 2021, giving approximately 12 months until the review and update deadlines.

The existing T0634 undertaken in 2024/25 provided:
a)	A review of the existing standards
b)	Collating of feedback and known issues
c)	Engagement with Industry Practice Bodies, Partner Organisations and Suppliers/Users
d)	A high-level Document Development Plan (DDP)
