Description

Works include carriageway patching in areas of deterioration, relaying/replacement of uneven flags, installation of continuous crossings over accesses and driveways, installation of Puffin crossings, improving the existing zebra crossing to adhere to guidance, installation of new bolt down islands, installation of uncontrolled crossing points, building out of kerblines, removal of parking bays and replacing with a new bus stop (including bus stop kerbs) and double yellow lines, installation of new benches, installation of new litter bins, adjustment/replacement of ironworks, installation of street lighting for footways and reinstatement of road markings.

Highways Framework

Blackpool Council are establishing a lotted - Highways surfacing and civil engineering works Framework. The procurement will be conducted as an open tender and will establish a framework for a 4-year period. Call off contracts may be entered into from the framework in the manner described within the tender documents. The framework will consist of two lots as follows: Lot 1 – Highways Surfacing - Surfacing includes re-surfacing and re-construction of the highway network using conventional surfacing materials consisting of flexible and rigid pavement treatments (hot, warm and cold mix asphalts/concrete) Lot 2 – Highways Civils - Civil Engineering Works includes construction of improvement works on or associated with the highway network The intention is to establish a framework of up to 4 Suppliers for lot 1 and up to 4 Suppliers for lot 2. This Dynamic Purchasing System is for the provision of the following Road Surface Treatment Services: • Premium Surface Dressing • Micro Asphalting and Footway Surface Treatments • Carriageway Retexturing • Joint Sealing • Asphalt Preservation • In-Situ Road Recycling • Spray Injection Patching • Any works or services similar to those listed above The publishing of this Contract Notice is to communicate the extension of the above DPS which was originally established in March 2018 for a 4 year period. Dorset Council took the option of extending the DPS for a further four year period ending March 2026 and now wishes to extend the DPS for a further period up to 27th September 2028, as permitted in line with Cabinet Office guidance regarding dynamic purchasing systems procured under PCR2015. Dorset Council reserves the right to terminate the DPS prior to 27th September 2028.
