This opportunity is for a provider of a South Yorkshire wide Multi-crime Victim Referral and Support Service.
Following the Mayoral election in May 2024, the Mayor took on the functions of the Police and Crime Commissioner. These functions include listening to the needs of communities, securing victim support services, setting the objectives for the police force, and holding the Chief Constable to account.
SYMCA is looking to commission a Multi Crime Support Service embracing the concept of:
- One point of local contact for all individuals affected by crime, excluding Domestic Abuse/ Sexual Violence and Homicide. The service will be required to offer an integrated, specialist, informative, care and support pathway to tailored interventions and a range of assessment and support services for adults and young people.
- Supporting victims to access wider services such as healthcare, social care, and guidance through the criminal justice processes to help those referred to cope and recover from the impact of crime and holistically improve individual health and well-being, as well as criminal justice outcomes.

This opportunity is for a provider of a Restorative Justice Service. This procurement is being jointly commissioned by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority ( SYMCA) and the Probation Service Yorkshire and the Humber (PS-YatH) with South Yorkshire MCA taking the lead. It can provide a means of closure and enable the victim to move on. It has a proven, significant impact in supporting victims in achieving closure by allowing them to continue with their lives. Restorative Justice also provides an opportunity for offenders to face the consequences of their actions, recognise the impact that it has had upon others and where possible make amends. In this way, Restorative Justice has the potential to help rehabilitate offenders and enable them to stop / reduce offending. Restorative Justice can be used for any type of crime and at any stage of the criminal justice process including alongside a prison sentence. UK Power Networks Customer Vulnerability Enduring Partnerships

As part of its RIIO-ED2 commitments, UK Power Networks (UKPN) has developed an ambitious strategy to support vulnerable customers beyond its core responsibilities as a Distribution Network Operator (DNO). This includes tackling fuel poverty and ensuring that no one is left behind in the transition to a net zero future. UKPN has set a target to assist 100,000 vulnerable customers per regulatory year, with an overall ED2 Net Present Value (NPV) target of £10.94 million. Alongside these commitments, we uphold the importance of delivering outstanding customer service, expecting partners to maintain high customer satisfaction levels (CSAT) exceeding 94%. UK Power Networks are looking for trusted partners with a focus on Consumer Vulnerability support services. We require partners who can work with the UK Power Networks' Customer Vulnerability team to target specific activities or groups of customers, as identified through data analysis. Projects will be expected to comprise of services that provide targeted support to fuel poor customers, and which deliver against our targets. These services should include: • Non-in-depth advice • In-depth advice to customers who may be in or at risk of being in fuel poverty • Wider and more enduring support The full scope and specifications of the services can be found in Appendix 2.

Community Rehabilitation Programme

Community rehabilitation is a vital component of our local drug and alcohol support offer for individuals whose lives are impacted by substance use. It provides an alternative to residential rehabilitation, ensuring that people who are unable to live away from home can still access a specialist, structured, and intensive package of abstinence-based support. The service will provide a abstinence-based, structured programme based on the 12-step model in line with national guidance that meets the criteria for the National Drug Treatment Monitoring System and relevant guidelines, delivering: • Psychosocial interventions • Peer and mutual aid support and access to groups which forms a large part of the programme and aftercare, particularly as people will then complete the remaining steps in the community • Support with housing, employment, education, and family support • It will promote continuity of care, including pre-treatment, relapse support, and up to one year of continuing support The programme aligns with Newcastle's Recovery Framework and national priorities to expand community-based rehab options alongside access to residential rehabilitation. The aim of the service is to build recovery and social capital, linking with local recovery support and fellowship groups to support aftercare from the programme for continuation of the Steps of the fellowship.
