Description

Contract is for the design stage under a preconstruction service agreement which will then be followed with a construction stage contract following planning approval and construction costs having been established.

LCC will have the opportunity to assess the construction stage affordability before progressing into the construction contract and will obtain cost plans during the design stage.

This project is required to support provision of sufficient primary school places in Barkby Thorpe due to housing development. The progression on the design feasibility stage is also required to support the developer land preparation works and land transfer to LCC under the terms of the s.106. By undertaking the design feasibility at this stage will enable LCC to develop the school design sufficiently to inform the land and infrastructure requirements that the housing developer is obligated to provide under the s.106 agreement and support early due diligence and risk management.

The scope of this contract is preconstruction services. 

The awarded value of the Preconstruction Services Agreement is £331,241.79 excluding VAT
