Southgate Arch, Launceston - High Level Repair and Maintenance Works

Briefly, the scope of works is to include: Site Preparation and Set-up Stripping Works Masonry Carpentry Leadwork Slating Weathervane Rainwater Goods Prospective tenderers should refer to the 'Specification of Works' document (attached) which stipulates the project's requirements/specifications in explicit detail. The project is being jointly funded by Launceston Town Council and Historic England and as such, all works, procurement procedures and processes, must meet the regulations and protocols of these organisations. Both Launceston Town Council and Historic England, require fixed-price costs/quotes for each aspect of the work and tenderers should complete the costings' grid on page 50 of the Specification of Works document.

Toilet Block Refurbishment and Park Entrance Archway

Stowmarket Town Council is inviting tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for improvement and enhancement works at Stowmarket Recreation Ground. The objective of this project is to improve access, usability, and the visual appeal of the site, ensuring that it continues to serve as a valued community asset for residents and visitors. The scope of works includes, but is not limited to: • Design, fabrication, and installation of a new entrance archway, creating a welcoming and distinctive focal point for the site. • Refurbishment of the existing toilet block, including internal and external upgrades to improve functionality, safety, and accessibility. • Removal of existing bollards and installation of new bollards, improving site access control and public safety. Stowmarket Town Council requires that all works under this contract are completed no later than the end of March 2026. This timeline aligns with a separate capital project at the Recreation Ground - the installation of a brand-new play area - and the coordination of both projects is essential to minimise disruption and deliver a joined-up transformation of the site by Easter 2026. Contractors are expected to deliver the works to a high standard and in full compliance with all relevant legislation, health and safety requirements, and best industry practice. The successful contractor must plan and manage the works to minimise disruption to the public, as parts of the Recreation Ground may remain accessible during construction. Tenderers must ensure that all required documentation within this tender pack is completed in full and returned by mid-day 05/12/2025. Submissions should demonstrate technical competence, relevant experience, delivery capability, programme of works, and costings. Stowmarket Town Council is committed to an open, transparent, and fair procurement process and welcomes submissions from all eligible organisations. Contractors can arrange a site visit on the 10th and 17th of November 2025 at their own expense. Alternatively, another date can be arranged by prior agreement.
