Description

The contractor to provide an entrepreneurial support programme for individuals on benefits, helping them launch and sustain new businesses, as well as to support the development of employability enhancing skills. 
The specific nature of the support to be provided will be determined by the winning bid but it is proposed that this should include entrepreneurial support in order to start businesses and/or the development of skills in areas such as construction or digital, via short courses, in order to enhance employability prospects.

This has been highlighted through research, mapping of existing support and the establishment of Refugee Welcome Programme (RWP). Resettlement Support Service

Carmarthenshire County Council wishes to commission a Supplier to provide a resettlement support service for Asylum Seekers and Refugees. The service is funded by the Home Office. The level of support will vary according to the needs of the individual/ family but may include tenancy and community support and access to health, education, employment and welfare benefits. The successful provider will need to demonstrate local knowledge and experience of working with vulnerable people and refugees.
