Description
A contract has been awarded following a call off by re-opening competition under the Homes England, Development and Regeneration Technical Services (DARTS) Framework 2023-2027, Lot 1 - end-to-end technical and professional services. The overall objective of the commission is consultancy services to provide advice to the Council on whether in practical terms there is any realistic prospects that the level of residential development identified as being necessary to meet its future growth aspirations can be delivered, and in a way which will achieve the objectives of delivering sustainable development. The requirements are Provide advice to support the delivery of the Government's revised housing targets through the identification of sustainable options for the development of communities within the Derbyshire Dales local planning authority area for the period up to 2045 Provide evidence relating to traffic and transportation to support the emerging Derbyshire Dales Local Plan Undertake a Level 2 Strategic Flood Risk Assessment to assess the cumulative effects of potential development sites within the defined High Sensitive Catchment to assess how the cumulative effects of development sites could impact peak flows, the duration of flooding and timing of flood peaks on receiving watercourses. The initial contract period is 12 months. There will be an option to extend the contract for 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs. Maximum contract period is two years.
