Description

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham is awarding a Framework of Homecare providers for adults aged 18 and over residing in Barking and Dagenham. We use a strengths-based approach in our social care work and seek to build on the assets and relationships people have in their communities. We are committed to support and enhance our residents' abilities and resilience to live in their own homes, for as long as possible, as independently as possible. Under the Care Act 2014, the local authority must provide or arrange for the provision of services that promote wellbeing, contribute towards preventing, delaying or reducing the needs for care and support in individuals and meet the needs for care and support of adults who meet the eligibility criteria set out in the Care Act 2014.

The Framework wis assigned to 9 providers in three geographical lots to cover the borough to deliver these services, in a manner that is tailored to individual needs and enable our residents to continue to improve the skills they need to maintain their independence in their own homes.

Accommodation based Housing Related Support Service for Lot 1 (Medium to High Needs) and Lot 2 (Low to Medium Needs)

Slough Borough Council is seeking tenders for an Accommodation-based Housing Related Support Services for Slough residents aged 18 to 65. The primary purpose of the service is to provide an alternative to rough sleeping or temporary accommodation for single people who are currently homeless or at risk of homelessness, with a view to supporting them into more independent accommodation. This will require a support provider to have access to suitable premises within which to provide appropriate support for approx. 63 units currently broken into two lots: Lot 1 - high to medium needs (approx. 18) and Lot 2 - low to medium needs (approx. 45) The accommodation can be for a dedicated block or a dispersed model of accommodation. Providers must complete an Accommodation Suitability Checklist for all accommodation that you are proposing to use. The new contract for accommodation and support is to commence on 1 May 2026 for two years with an option to extend for a further one year until 30 April 2029. Care Homes for Adults Flexible Framework Agreement NEW ENTRANTS

This procurement exercise is to establish a Flexible Framework Agreement, for the provision of Care Homes for Adults excluding older people (further referred to as the “Flexible Framework'’) which fall within Schedule 3 and Regulations 74-76 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.The care home services forming part of the Flexible Framework are regulated by the Care Inspectorate in Scotland and must be registered with them as Care Home Service for Adults. The Flexible Framework Agreement will remain open to allow new Providers ("New Entrants") to participate throughout the Open Period. Further information about New Entrant applications is set out in Section VI.3 Additional information. Following award, successful providers will also be able to seek to vary their appointment by altering or adding service offerings in accordance with the terms of the Flexible Framework Agreement. Care home services will support people to achieve the best possible quality of life, in terms of their personal aspirations, choices and abilities, where people’s needs are best met within a residential setting for adults.

Young People Supporting Living

Young People Supporting Living Services, is broken down into 3 separate Lots. LOT 1: Young Peoples Accommodation and Support Service Young people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, face significant barriers to health, education, and long-term stability. This service is commissioned in response to local need and priorities. It forms a key part of our approach to ending youth homelessness in Bury. Lot 1 - 40units = £1.5 + (Estimated) LOT 2: Young Families Accommodation and Support Service Young families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness face significant barriers to health, education, employment and long-term stability. This service is commissioned in response to local need and priorities. It forms a key part of our approach to ending homelessness for young families in Bury - Lot 2 - 20units = £750k + (Estimated) LOT 3: 16 and 17 Year olds Accommodation and Support Service Bury Council has a duty to accommodate 16 and 17 year olds under section 20 or section 17 of the Children Act 1989. 1.2 A child accommodated under section 20 becomes a 'looked-after' child. The local authority is responsible for them as corporate parent, and has a duty to monitor their health, education and care. Their accommodation must be regulated and registered with Ofsted. These duties and safeguards do not exist for children accommodated under section 17. If a young person is not 'a Child in Need', has been fully advised, and has capacity, they can choose not to be accommodated under section 20 and will be assessed under section 17. Lot 3 - 9units =£350k - £450k + (Estimated) Submission Deadline 17th November 12:00 noon
