Young People Supporting Living Services, is broken down into 3 separate Lots. LOT 1: Young Peoples Accommodation and Support Service Young people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, face significant barriers to health, education, and long-term stability. This service is commissioned in response to local need and priorities. It forms a key part of our approach to ending youth homelessness in Bury. Lot 1 - 40units = £1.5 + (Estimated) LOT 2: Young Families Accommodation and Support Service Young families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness face significant barriers to health, education, employment and long-term stability. This service is commissioned in response to local need and priorities. It forms a key part of our approach to ending homelessness for young families in Bury - Lot 2 - 20units = £750k + (Estimated) LOT 3: 16 and 17 Year olds Accommodation and Support Service Bury Council has a duty to accommodate 16 and 17 year olds under section 20 or section 17 of the Children Act 1989. 1.2 A child accommodated under section 20 becomes a 'looked-after' child. The local authority is responsible for them as corporate parent, and has a duty to monitor their health, education and care. Their accommodation must be regulated and registered with Ofsted. These duties and safeguards do not exist for children accommodated under section 17. If a young person is not 'a Child in Need', has been fully advised, and has capacity, they can choose not to be accommodated under section 20 and will be assessed under section 17. Lot 3 - 9units =£350k - £450k + (Estimated) Submission Deadline 17th November 12:00 noon
