This procurement is under the Light Touch Regime established pursuant to Regulations 74-76 and Regulation 76(7) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 for the purposes of commissioning an Open Select List for the provision of placements for all Independent Placements;

Provision of a Minor Adaptation Service

Bridgend County Borough Council is recommissioning a Minor Adaptations Service, and the Council wishes to appoint one Provider that must evidence they have the experience, skills, knowledge and competence to assess Individuals, with varying needs, for appropriate Minor Adaptations, and source, supply and install the prescribed Minor Adaptations in the homes of those Individuals in Bridgend County Borough. Bridgend County Borough Council are committed to securing quality provision and the successful provider will have evidenced they have the experience, skills, knowledge and competence of undertaking this work in a social care environment, and in particular to people with a range of needs, who may also be regarded as vulnerable, including older people and people with complex needs. The successful Provider will work closely with and take referrals from the Council’s Integrated Community Services and Occupational Therapy Teams and take forward these referrals into a range of Minor Adaptation solutions, in an Individual’s home, so they may be better supported to live independently. The Provider will have Staff that are certified Trusted Assessors who will assess Individuals referred to the Service for appropriate Minor Adaptations and ensure that those prescribed Minor Adaptations are installed in the homes of Individuals, in accordance with Law, Guidance and Good Practice. The Minor Adaptations Service will provide a responsive service as the Service is crucial in enabling timely discharge from hospital, supporting post-discharge recovery, preventing falls, preventing admissions to care homes and hospitals and maintaining independence, The Council is committed to supporting people to continue to live independently in their own homes for longer and this Service will support and facilitate this work and preventative approach to supporting individuals within Bridgend.
