Description

Translink is looking for a competent supplier to provide a collection and disposal service for its scrap metal skips. This will include recycle ferrous metal and non-ferrous metals: old rolled aluminium, No 2 old steel scrap, 7b turnings, and train wheels. The highest overall price offered to Translink for recycled materials will attract the maximum score available.
This will be an initial 5-year contract with possible further extensions for up to 2 years (24 months). Anticipated Contract Start Date is 5 January 2026. Your response must be submitted via the relevant Call for Tender (CfT) on the eTendersNI portal. Instructions on how to submit your response can be found within the Interactive Walkthrough on the eTendersNI Homepage. No other method of submission will be accepted.

Republishing: Collection and Recycling of Mattresses from LondonEnergy Sites

LondonEnergy wish to invite prospective suppliers to bid for the collection, treatment and recycling of the following service and/material streams. The tender shall be for ONE LOT for the Collection and Recycling of Mattresses across 7 locations in the North London Area including LondonEnergy Waste Transfer Stations and Reuse and Recycling Centers (RRC's). Mattresses are generated through Local Authority collection services in North London and are free from institutional mattresses or any other items that may currently be classified as POPs. Required weekly collections, will be based on the specification to be uploaded via ESourcing platform. Whilst we expect inputs will fluctuate, expectation is the for the winning bidder to provide set collection days for each facility that will form part of the contract KPI's. *Please note: Due to space Restrictions, the collection service at our Public Reuse and Recycling Centers (RRC's) is carried out using Refuse collection vehicles (RCV's) Loads from our Waste Transfer Stations will be collected on articulated vehicles which will be loaded by LondonEnergy using 360 mobile plant. Waste Management Services following expiry of the Council’s Public Private Partnership (PPP) Arrangements

The Council is currently party to a PPP Contract, with services provided by a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). The PPP Contract includes infrastructure and requirements associated with mechanical biological treatment (MBT) (which will have been adapted to become WTSs prior to the commencement of this Contract), Waste Transfer Stations (WTS Sites), Recycling Centres (RC Sites), Recycling Deposit Points (RDPs) and management of Landfill Sites. The PPP Contract, which covers Oban and Lorn together with the inner islands, Mid Argyll and Kintyre, Bute and Cowal expires at the end of September 3rd, 2026. In the short-term, the Council has a requirement to procure continued provision of services within the ‘Contract Area’ whilst further consideration is given to the preferred longer-term service configuration and delivery model. The Services required under this Contract are detailed within Schedule Part 4 – Services Specification and further information provided in the Specification Appendices (1-5).
