Description
The Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production (STEP) is an ambitious programme to accelerate the delivery of sustainable fusion energy. The STEP programme will design and build the world's first compact prototype fusion powerplant, based on the spherical tokamak design, by 2040s. Currently, the concept design of all major systems and plant are in an ongoing refinement process The purpose of this contract is to develop a concept control system of a Power and Energy Management System (PEMS), and to further develop the powerplant simulation models for its STEP Prototype Plant (SPP) Electrical Infrastructure system. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
