Market engagement - Oral health prevention

London Borough of Hackney and the City of London Corporation are looking at re-procuring Oral Health Promotion and Prevention services to reduce the prevalence of tooth decay and improve oral hygiene. Current universal services include oral health promotion through training (for children, adults, and wider workforce) and distribution of fluoride products, alongside strategic work. Current targeted services involve Supervised Toothbrushing for 2-4 year olds in nurseries and all children in special schools, a Fluoride Varnish Programme for Reception and Year 1 children in primary schools, specific oral health promotion for Orthodox Jewish communities, and support for care homes to meet oral health quality standards. The council is interested in engaging with organisations with expert clinical knowledge of oral health. We aim to engage with these organisations to understand the best models to deliver elements of the service.

CCS072 Children in Care Provision (D2N2) - Residential Placements

This is a Framework opportunity for OFSTED registered Residential providers to support the D2N2 collaborative in the delivery of Good and Outstanding quality, stable and local placements to our Children in Care. Background D2N2 Children in Care Framework is a collaboration between the following Councils: Derby City Council; Derbyshire County Council; Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council, for the provision of Residential placements across the D2N2 boundary. D2N2 is working together to optimise the commissioning of placement provision for their children in care. This is subject to governance approvals within each local Council The Councils have worked together over the last decade on the provision of residential placements for Children in Care. Through this work it was recognised that there were shared challenges, gaps in provision and common needs amongst the collective Children in Care population, and the need of a combined approach and closer coordination across our area. The Council wishes to commission a service to provide support to people living with dementia. The service will be provided to people of any age living with a dementia. The successful provider will play a critical part in delivering service to reduce social isolation, improve and maintain their health and wellbeing and empower people to have more independence, autonomy, choice and control in their lives. The service will provide a pathway of support for people living with a dementia from early onset through to advanced end stage dementia. The service provider must provide specialist centre-based provision for people living with a dementia facilitation meaningful and individualised day opportunities.
