The National Army Museum (NAM) is inviting software vendors to tender for the supply and ongoing support for a new Digital Asset Management system.The Museum implemented as asset folder structure to support the deployment of its digital collections management system in 1998. The structure was designed for storing and organising unique assets for algorithm-based retrieval, as well as offering tools and scripts for generating variant-sized versions and derivatives. These were developed and maintained in-house by the Museum's Technical Services team.   The Museum now wishes to procure a new Asset Management System building on the existing numerous resources ('buckets') of digital assets. Digital Preservation Systems DPS

The Dynamic Purchasing System is being established by Jisc to provide Digital Preservation System solutions to institutions. Institutions generate, consume and keep enormous amounts of Digital Information (“Data”). In order to ensure the long-term sustainability and access to such Data, institutions make use of Digital Preservation (DP) systems to keep the Data both safe (bit preservation) and usable. Digital preservation is a relatively complex process requiring significant storage and processing power. This DPS will enable HEIs and other institutions to be able to efficiently procure Digital Preservation Systems in a way that is compliant with the Public Contract Regulations 2015.
