Description

Bank Escalator 4 and 5 Replacement Demolitions, Civils and Premises Works, which is being led by Transport for London ("TfL").
Below briefly summarises the high-level Demolitions, Civils and Premises Scope of Works
· Civil works associated with the new escalator installations for escalators 4 & 5.
· Civil works associated with the construction of new structural elements to support new escalators and concourse floor and other Civil Engineering works.
2.1.1 Civil works associated with demolition of existing plinths at the upper and lower machine chamber levels to finished floor level and along the incline which include demolition or partial demolition of plinths
2.1.2 Finishes and signage, and a new hatch in the LMC.
TfL requires a contract to be put in place for FY2025/2026 and FY 2026/2027; TfL is conducting a competitive tender for this contract.

Flood Cell 06, Snape Maltings

The Upper Alde & Ore Estuary Embankment Improvements scheme will reduce tidal flood riskand enhance the environment in the Upper Alde and Ore Estuary. The Alde and Ore Estuary is vulnerable to flooding from the sea made worse by the poor condition of many of the flood defences. The proposed Flood Cell 06, Snape Maltings scheme is 1 of 4 cells identified to improve the Standard of Service of the existing flood defences and provide resilience to withstand 300mm of overtopping from a 1:200+ year event, given predicted sea levels in 2050. In summary, the scope of Works for the project includes civil engineering works (but is not limited to):  Establish main site offices, compound, temporary services and access routes.  Alliance House - Installation of approximately 20m of new demountable defences along the quay side with piled and concrete slab foundation;  River Alde Quay - Installation of approximately 120m of new demountable defences along the northern quay side with piled and concrete slab foundation;  Henry Moore Lawn - Improvement to approximately 80metres of earth flood embankment to be constructed in a passive fashion to provide improved flood protection and amenity and access value around the Henry Moore Lawn area terminating at the northeastern edge of the Concert Hall building; and  Terrace Car Park - Improvement to approximately 100metres of earth flood embankment, incorporating pedestrian access provision, constructed from the River Cafe terrace area, terminating into the southeast car park area. The works are estimated to cost around £2.3million. The form of contract will be a NEC4 ECC Option A. All tender documents are available through the Client or the Client's appointed tender and contract manager Stantec UK Ltd.

West Bampton Road Design and Build

This is to inform suppliers on the upcoming tender for the following: Proposal: Design and construction (post RIBA stage 3) of 7 dwellings (2 x 1bd bungalow, 3 x 2bd houses and 2 x 3bd houses), and associated works to the car park as per planning consent 23/00886/FUL. Site: Land to the west of Bampton Road, Leigham, Plymouth Service required: Procurement of the Contractor, for the design and build post RIBA stage 3, of 7.no new affordable dwellings, with associated hard and soft landscaping (including external works to the public car park). Description: The site is (0.35ha) located to the west of Bampton Road, and is an existing, non-demarcated, surface level, public car park. The site (0.12ha) on which the affordable dwellings will be built is owned by PCH. The dwellings will need to be delivered in accordance with Plymouth Community Homes, Employers Requirements. External material, approved by planning include brick finish to walls, roof tiles and grey UPVC fenestration. The energy strategy consists of ASHP, with PV's to the roof. The remainder of the car park (0.23ha) is owned by Plymouth City Council, and the improvement works will be undertaken via license. The improvement works to the car park consist of, but not limited to, white lining (circa 66 public car parking spaces), site grading and kerbing, surface water drainage works and soft/hard landscaping.
