Description

Levelling Up Fund grant funding has been secured to transform Shute Road and Coronation Park in Catterick Garrison to provide a dynamic, well-connected, and inclusive Catterick Garrison town centre focus - Award of Construction contract.

The project will include each of the below elements:
Project 1 - Active pedestrian and cycle connections, increasing footfall whilst reducing carbon emissions. 
Project 2 - Create a new town events square, park activities and community gardens connecting the town via a feature walkway.
Project 3 - A new mixed-use Community and Enterprise Facility to boost economic productivity. This will host facilities including business start-ups, community kitchen, training opportunities, small business incubator units and support community events and park activities. 

This contract has been procured as a 2-stage restricted process via Yorbuild Major Works Contractors Framework.

Development of vertically straight fusion blanket segment demonstrator including technology development identification

As part of the on-going STEP programme, continued development, learning and understanding of materials and systems is required. As such, the materials team have set out this requirement to better understand the proposed plan for the breeder blankets within the tokomak.
