Description
Wrexham County Borough Council wish to appoint a single Civil Engineering Contractor to complete the Gresford Wilderness Tip Safety Improvement Works. This will involve the delivery of essential drainage and river engineering works at the disused Gresford Wilderness colliery tip, a Category C high-risk site identified by the Mining Remediation Authority. The works are designed to reduce the risk of ground instability and protect life, property, and infrastructure in the surrounding area. Please see the Invitation to Tender (ITT) document and appendices and other supporting attachments for full details of the proposed work. These have been published and are available on the eTenderWales (Bravo Solutions) online e-sourcing portal, which can be accessed through this web address: https://etenderwales.bravosolution.co.uk/. You will need to be registered as a supplier on both Sell2Wales/FTS and eTenderWales. To access and download the documents you will need to be logged into eTenderWales and search for the Invitation to Tender (ITT). You can look up the tender with the following reference: itt_118450 - Gresford Wilderness Tip Safety Improvement Works, project_59859 - Gresford Wilderness Tip Safety Improvement Works. Interested suppliers may ask clarification questions though eTenderWales. If you wish to tender for the work, your tender submission will need to be uploaded though eTenderWales. Preliminary Market Engagement has not been undertaken before this tender process as this is a small-scale works scheme. This tender process relates to a single contract that has not been broken down into multiple lots. The relatively small scale of the project and the need to have economical, proportionate contract management, combined with the nature and scope of the work, are why this procurement has not been broken down into separate lots. Please note the site visit planned for 10:30am, Friday 1st August 2025. Details can be found in the Invitation to Tender (ITT) instruction document on eTenderwales.
