Gresford Wilderness Tip Safety Improvement Works

Description

Wrexham County Borough Council wish to appoint a single Civil Engineering Contractor to complete the Gresford Wilderness Tip Safety Improvement Works. This will involve the delivery of essential drainage and river engineering works at the disused Gresford Wilderness colliery tip, a Category C high-risk site identified by the Mining Remediation Authority. The works are designed to reduce the risk of ground instability and protect life, property, and infrastructure in the surrounding area.

Preliminary Market Engagement has not been undertaken before this tender process as this is a small-scale works scheme.  This tender process relates to a single contract that has not been broken down into multiple lots.  The relatively small scale of the project and the need to have economical, proportionate contract management, combined with the nature and scope of the work, are why this procurement has not been broken down into separate lots.
