Description
This procurement is required for peatland restoration projects in the Forest of Bowland. Works are required to take place between mid September 2025 and mid March 2026. Works are not permitted outside of these times due to access restrictions to the land. The scope of the work covers reprofiling work, peat dams/grip blocking, peat bunding and stone dams and stone baffles. Work is required in 4 geographical areas that cover approximately 408 hectares in total. Lancashire County Council is seeking experienced contractors who must be able to provide evidence and references for undertaking similar projects. Restrictions are also in place for the type of machinery to be used on the fells. All information is published in the tender documents including site plans and full details of the Scope.
