Description

Derry City and Strabane District Council invites quotations for the provision of professional Principal Designer services for minors works at six historic graveyards. The successful tenderer will be required to fulfil the requirements of the Principal Designer Services as described in the scopes of works such detail works and provide specification reviewing designs and supervise on-site workings to highlight issues and collaborate with the parties and proposes solutions, submitting monthly reports during the design and construction stages, these may also be required during the defect period and End of Defect. Your submission must be submitted via etendersNI, via this CFT. No other method of submissions will be accepted. Please refer to the CfT documents for further detail.

Property Condition Surveys and Insurance Valuation Surveys 2025/26 (Corporate Estate & Schools)

The condition survey data is required to enable Cumberland Council to develop a prioritised programme of planned maintenance for their properties. The survey data shall also be used to inform and enable Cumberland Council's strategic asset management objectives supporting decisions relating to retention, disposal and investment. Additionally, the surveys will seek to identify where deleterious materials have been used within the portfolio so that their condition can be monitored. The specialist surveys relate to five sites where specific construction methods are known to exist, and these construction methods have been known to fail historically. These additional surveys seek to ensure the construction methods and components are not failing in these properties. There is a requirement also under work stream, for the surveying consultants to provide 'Reinstatement Valuations' so that this data can be provided to our insurers. The contract is anticipated to commence on the 22nd of September 2025 and is expected to continue for a period of seventeen months (26th February 2027), unless terminated in accordance with the Conditions of Contract. At Cumberland Councils Discretion, the contract period may be extended by up to 6 months.

Seabed Sampling near Poole & Christchurch Bays

The requirement is for seabed sampling that will be used to inform potential marine aggregate production in new Option Area 2105 (West Isle of Wight). Data collection and reporting must meet a high standard in align with best practice for the aggregate industry with a track record of work for the dredging/aggregate industry in the UK. As background, the beaches in Poole and Christchurch Bays have been recipient to around 10 million tonnes of sediment from various sources since 1970 to protect thousands of homes, businesses, amenity, and environmental habitats. Local commercial sites are likely to be unable to provide sufficient future material, and existing practices are unaffordable and unsustainable hence BCP Council have agreed an Exploration and Option Area 2105 via the 2021/22 Marine Minerals Tender round with the Crown Estate. The work is for 15 locations with 5m depth vibrocores (in water depths less than 25m, each location TBC in Area 2105) and accompanying grab sample at each location.

Marlborough House Consultancy Services

PCH Board has approved the replacement of Marlborough House with 148 new build flats for social rent with an estimated build contract of £41.7m within a building of similar height. The block should be fully decanted during late 2027 and the intention at this point is to let a demolition and new build JCT Design and Build contract through a 2-stage procurement process, subject to advice from the project Employers Agent. PCH is in the process of rehoming residents from Marlborough House from the existing 13-storey building consisting of 121 flats. PCH wishes to appoint a consultant team to lead the redevelopment of Marlborough House.
