Description

LondonEnergy wish to invite prospective suppliers to bid for the collection, treatment and recycling of the following service and/material streams: Mattresses 20 03 07 for a contract period of 2 years, with option to extend for 2 additional years on an annual basis (2+1+1).
Contract commencement date: September 2025
The tender shall be for ONE LOT for the Collection and Recycling of Mattresses across 9 locations in the North London Area including LondonEnergy Waste Transfer Stations and Reuse and Recycling Centers (RRC's). Applicable bids will be assessed on Recycling Rates and price.
Mattresses are generated through Local Authority collection services in North London and are free from institutional mattresses or any other items that may currently be classified as POPs. (see attached specification for more details)
Required weekly collections (based on 2024 volumes) are as outlined in column G in the above table. Whilst we expect inputs will fluctuate, expectation is the for the winning bidder to provide set collection days for each facility that will form part of the contract KPI's.
Please note: Due to space Restrictions on site, the collection service at our Public Reuse and Recycling Centers (RRC's) is carried out using Refuse collection vehicles (RCV's)
Loads from our Waste Transfer Stations will be collected on articulated vehicles which will be loaded by LondonEnergy using 360 mobile plant.
Hornsey Street WTS will be delivered by LondonEnergy as a third party collection vehicles are not compatible with this sites compaction loading equipment.

Waste and resource management technical advisors’ framework- Stage 1

WRAP is preparing to launch a tender exercise for a framework to provide high quality technical advisor services to enable WRAP to provide valuable policy, support and evidence in the area of Waste and Resource Management, that can be applied to one or more of our core sector programme areas and one or more of our key stakeholder audiences. The intention is to go live with the tender within the next 7 days (but this not guaranteed). The work assigned through the framework involves providing technical advice and assumptions as well as a quality assurance role in projects that WRAP has scheduled in to deliver. The advisors appointed to the framework shall have: Expertise and experience in the sector and specialism they have indicated, Significant demonstrable skills, Evidence of acting as a lead technical advisor in the delivery of related projects, and Been involved in relevant published work. This is anticipated to be an Open Framework Agreement, which will operate for a maximum of 8 years. A new procurement exercise will be run prior to each 2-year re-opening window to allow new suppliers to apply. Existing suppliers will remain on the Framework for the full duration, subject to performance and continued eligibility. Re-openings will be conducted via a new procurement process under the Open Framework provisions of the UK Procurement Act 2023. Organisations may apply to be on more than one lot if they wish and they have relevant experience.
