Description

Objectives of the service: 
•	to treat patients who have been immediately directed into it with unscheduled urgent dental clinical presentations  
•	to undertake a clinically appropriate examination with consideration to the general health of the mouth (and refer where necessary), assessment and investigations; 
•	to provide clinical treatment necessary to meet the patient's immediate urgent presentation and pain management needs; 
•	to refer to other services where necessary  
This contract relates to treatment of patients in a primary care setting under the NHS (Personal Dental Services) Regulations 2005
