Description
Staffordshire County Council ('Council') are seeking to commission the services of a provider ('Provider') of specialist Continuing Health Care (CHC) advocacy and legal representation to act on behalf of adults, with Council funded care services (and/or their nominated representatives) and secure eligibility for National Health Service (NHS) funded CHC. This Service will also include appealing against an Individual's existing CHC funding being withdrawn following review. In providing this Service, the Provider will be acting as the Individual's advocate, liaising where appropriate with their nominated legal representative. An initial potential 20 (twenty) existing cases have been identified for consideration for review, future volume could be anywhere between 1 to 5 cases per month. As this is a new service the exact volume is difficult to predict. Financial budgeting has been based on a budget of between £50,000 to £150,000 per annum.
