Description

The City of London Corporation (the City) invited Tenders for the provision of a Lead Consultant (Project Management, Cost Consultancy, Architectural, Building Surveyor and Building Control Principal Designer) and Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Consultants as part of the design team to deliver a programme of combined minor improvements and cyclical works to refurbish the Guildhall School of Music & Drama from 2025 to 2030.
The tender was divided into two (2) lots. Lot 1 - Lead Consultant and Lot 2 - Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Consultants.

Contractor Works Framework Agreement

The City of Edinburgh Council require a multi lot framework agreement to deliver repair, maintenance and upgrade capital and other works across its estate. The Council's Strategic Asset Management and Sustainable Development department require contractors to deliver the Capital Investment Programme and meet other construction needs for their commercial properties over the next four years. These properties include schools, libraries, social work facilities, and other commercial buildings, it should be noted that some of the works are required to take place over school holiday periods, allowances for capacity should be considered when applying for the Framework. The Council is looking to establish contractors committed to delivering the Council’s vision for the creation of high quality, vibrant and sustainable places in our city. It should be noted that Bidders are required sign up to the Councils Construction Charter and evidence Fair Work Practices. The delivery of Community Benefits will be a requirement of all subsequent call of contracts. Please refer to Schedule 2 for each lots specification

Municipal Building: Design element for the cultural and creative transformation works to the Passmore Edwards Building, Falmouth

The Council invites response to this Invitation to Tender (ITT) from suitably qualified suppliers ("Suppliers") for the provision of a professional services design team for design services to overhaul the Passmore Edwards Municipal Building. It should be noted that work consist of the following: a) Internal works to redesign the internal gallery space (see brief). Initially this is to undertake RIBA Stages 0-2 which will inform a submission for funding. If approved, there will be a second phase RIBA 3-4. The final stage RIBA Stages 5-6 will also be dependent on external funding applications. b) The external works are at RIBA Stage 3 and have both Listed Building Consent and planning permission. c) With the above exception for the external works, where the appointed professional services design team will be required to undertake RIBA stages 3 onwards, for all other aspects of the work they will be required to provide the professional services to undertake all the relevant tasks through the RIBA stages, including surveys, technical studies, business planning and the design of a practical and economically viable solutions through to contract administration.
