Description

The Borough Council of Newcastle-under-Lyme existing management plans were created when the Local nature reserves (LNR's) were first declared, and both the management and action plans are now out of date.
The sites were originally declared as LNR's due to there being Sites of Biological Interest (SBI's) of different types on each of the sites. The management plans due to their age are no longer fit for purpose, and the updating of these will ensure that the management of the sites moving forward remains suitable for the sites and ensure that the species that they were originally protecting are still present but also considering any new species.
