Description

Due to the approaching expiry of an existing contract the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham is advertising to seek tenders from suitably experienced and qualified organisations for the delivery of a Young Carers Support Service.
The duration of this contract is two (2) years and six (6) months initially from 1st October 2025 until 31st March 2028 plus an option to extend for a further year (1), at the sole discretion of the Council, subject to funding and performance. 
Our vision in the re-tender of this service is to work in partnership with an appropriately experienced contractor to sustain, and develop further, a quality support service for Young Carers in Barking and Dagenham. The service will be compliant with the Children and Families Act 2014 and the Care Act 2014.  The core areas of this service will be:
•	to work in collaboration with various agencies and the Local Authority to identify young carers;
•	being the first port of call for young carers’ support;
•	to ensure that young carers receive a formal assessment where requested/ required;
•	provide support and advice to young carers;
•	to provide activities for young carers to allow them to share their experiences with other young carers and also provide time away from their caring responsibilities;
•	to deliver a tailored service to the young carer in accordance with their assessment, and that keeps them engaged in, and attending, education, employment and training;
•	to work in partnership with schools to identify young carers, in addition to partner agencies including health, social care, and other voluntary and community sector providers
•	to provide activities that are in consultation with the young carers; and
•	to provide a flexible service that can meet the needs of young carers at the weekends, and evenings.
Organisations should be aware that Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations may apply

Harrogate Court Extra Care Scheme

The City of Doncaster Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced provider to deliver care and support to tenants of Harrogate Court along with housing related and general wellbeing support and a community hub, providing a high quality service at all times. Care and support packages will be delivered in line with assessed need. It will be a 24/7 service including first response. The contract will be for a period of five years with the option to extend for a further five 12 month periods. Harrogate Court is a 50-bed apartment extra care scheme, for People aged 55 and over. The scheme has 21 one-bedroom apartments and 29 two-bedroom apartments. All apartments are for rent. (There is also a communal lounge, laundry room, hairdresser, restaurant , shop and guest room. It is a requirement of this contract that you hold a CQC rating of good or above from the start and for the duration of this contract. Harrogate Court is not currently registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), on contract award the successful provider must commence the CQC registration process. Until the service and manager are both registered with CQC, the successful provider must ensure that the service is overseen by a registered manager or CQC nominated individual, to provide consistent support to the manager. The nominated individual or registered manager designated must currently be responsible for a care service which is currently rated as ‘Good ‘or above with CQC.
