Description

This notice is in relation to modification of an existing Contract pursuant to regulation 72(1)(e) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, and is published for transparency purposes.

The original contract was awarded under Crown Commercial Services Management Consultancy 2 Framework (RM 6008) Lot 1. The contract is for a multi-disciplinary partner to work with the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government to support the delivery of the UK's Freeports Programme. The supplier provides challenge and strategic advice to improve the quality and delivery of Freeports plans and proposals.

This support encompasses four functions:
1. Strategic advice:
2. Shared products and learning:
3. Programme support and advice:
4. Troubleshooting draw-down service

This modification is for additional support required for Freeports through to August 2025, including continuation of innovative finance activity, which is key to unlocking stalled tax sites through an innovative financing mechanism (including loans, repayable grants or investment in joint ventures) which would provide up-front financing for capital works. The additional work commissioned is consistent the scope of the original contract.

This modification increases the total value of the contract by £724,961, from £11,517,356 (excl VAT) to £12,242,317 (excl VAT)
