Description

The Architects Registration Board (ARB) intends to commission work to develop an impact evaluation framework with which to evaluate the impact of its recent reforms to the initial education and training of architects (IET).  We are looking for a research agency, or an academic  or other organisation with research expertise, to design an effective methodology/evaluation logic model to collect and analyse data to evaluate the success of our policy proposals.

England Green Infrastructure Mapping Database. England Urban Habitat Maps - Technical Amendments and Revisions.

Urban Habitat Mapping has developed as part of the England Green Infrastructure Mapping Database over the last 4 years. A set of pilot and trialling exercises has produced data across a range of urban areas in England. As the project has developed, data has been produced using a series of adapted methods. This project will produce a "final" method by integrating some adjustments into a final approach for use in the Trimble eCognition software environment. The final method will then be used to adjust (and where necessary reprocess) the data for all areas that are currently covered by the Urban Habitat Mapping. Shapefiles of the Areas of interest are available on request. These files provide the outline of the actual area to be mapped and give area size. The project is anticipated to begin in late July 2025 and be completed by the end of February 2026.

Urban Habitat Mapping - Expansion

Urban Habitat Mapping has developed as part of the England Green Infrastructure Mapping Database over the last 4 years. Following methodological review, some final adjustments are being made to the method so that a final approach will be available to use in the Trimble eCognition software environment. This final method will be supplied early in the contract and will be used to deliver Urban Habitat Maps for a selected list of urban areas in England outside of those already mapped. The mapping in the project will thus be an expansion to existing mapped areas. Shapefiles of the Areas of interest are available on request, please contact [email protected]. FSA Meat Charging Discount Regime Research

The objective of the research is to address evidence gaps in our understanding of the effects of the discount regime, and bolster our ability to contrast the economic impact that any different approach could have on businesses and the wider economy. Once completed, the findings of the research will feed into future policy development and an economic Impact Assessment. Different policy options will be evaluated within the IA. Regardless of the options ultimately evaluated in the IA, the impacts of full cost recovery – the counterfactual – will need to be understood in line with HM Treasury Green Book guidance in order to appraise options against it
