Description

The Council are seeking a single provider to remove, transport and deliver various items of Furniture/Personal Belongings from one house premise to another or directly to the storage facility. The majority of removals will be within the Durham County area however, on occasion, addresses may fall outside of the County Durham area. Moves will include personal belongings for a domestic house including households of any size and where storage of such belongings may at times be required. The provider will be required to store possession from up to 50 houses at any one time. 
Please note, the providers storage facility must be within 30 miles from the border of Durham County as it is essential to enable service users to access their belongings if required.

Previous notice identifier: 2025/S 000-016891 The requirements of this tender have been amended to: Bidders will need to confirm they meet the following BSI standards and that their facilities have been inspected and approved by The National Archives as being secure and safe from risks posed by fire, flood and poor environmental conditions in line with these standards. • BS EN 16893:2018 - Conservation of Cultural Heritage • BS 4971:2017 - Conservation and care of archive and library collections • BS EN 16648:2015 - Conservation of cultural heritage - transport methods The Supplier should clearly explain where they will store the Archive and Museum collections - providing full details of the location and facilities. Where the Supplier proposes to split the Archive and Museum over multiple sites or move it between sites, they must ensure all sites are compliant with the specification and standards outlined above. The supplier must also include evidence that they have a FORS certificate as proof that they use FORS-accredited vehicles equipped with on-board cameras and Geotab tracking systems compliant with these standards.
